whatever works for you best based on your own stat.
what i have learnt, especially scalping, most of the time that very last pips cost the most!!
i tend to go between 4-12 pips when scalping, depend on the pair, and how the market moves.
yesterday took 11 scalps, 10 won. but the average was mostly 4-5 pips. that was the rhythm of the market.
today so far 8 scalps, 7 win. but today average is 7-8 pips, cos this seem to be the rhythm
if i go with the static 10, especially yesterday i would be in a loss then, vs. making +0.3% or so.
today might get away with the static 10, but i would not like find out, i am happy with the +0.4% or so

@ the beginning you hit me as a guy who knows what he is doing, so, little surprised to read that still going thru developing...most i assumed is like fine-tuning...
