Hi Shaun, I was watching this scenario last night and saw the h2 turning over. My plan was to enter with h2 macd up arrow and open above smooth. I see that you entered a little higher up. Do you think an open above smooth would have been too early in this scenario? Thanks

Your absolutely correct, that was the best entry. Smooth is the best entry in this scenario, your close to the bottom/top but the market is showing you that it is turning over. I entered later simply because I was asleep, but I just made sure I had 40 pips to Resistance.

Hi Shaun, been taking a while rehearsing and re-reading to get myself in a truly positive place - one thing has struck me recently and that is the confidence to enter a trade like you did today, whereby invariably the next candle after opening above/below smooth always seems to be a pullback against us (26 pips in your case)......knowing you know this is truly confirmation of your faith in the Paradox and what it is showing you - bravo that man

I want to say thank you for all help and time you spend here.
I almost do not have free time in the last 3 month (work and family), but I do read every chance I get, so I will soon know the all rules and start posting plans again.
The hardest thing for me to understand is SAR+DB+DIV and I have a quick question about something in your post - 11141.

It was true in your trade, but if you look at yesterdays pictures from papemomar post 11128 you can see that DB and SAR where also showing and attached with divergence but did continued down and connected again more then 70 pips later. I understand that in trend the SAR will jump from candle to candle but we where and still in consolidation...

Yesterday both 1H and 2H where in sinc for the downside, and only the daily was up (hence consolidation) while in your trade the 1H purple/white crossed and the 2H soon followed....
Is that the difference in scenarios or is it something else Im missing ?
I really do struggle to understand this point as it seems to be very important for trading the paradox

Hi Pipon

There are a few reasons why those two situations are different, and I will do my best to explain:

1) When papemomar bought, he was buying immediately after a down EMA/MACD arrow, which as we know is a confirmation of the trend back in that direction.
2) When I took my trade, 4hr EMA/ROMAR had crossed, and what is the rule when that occurs?
3) Look at the difference between the MACD on the 2hr on those two days - what do you see?
4) The Daily had the SAR attached on the bottom, and the market was out of balance with Purple.
5) On the 4th the market tested ROMAR (remember the rule?) and with the confirmation of the EMA/MACD arrows it was a certainty to make a new low, and move the DB/SAR down.

So, when papemomar bought, we already had the ROMAR retest and then we had the EMA/MACD arrow down. The 4hr had not yet crossed ROMAR, so I wasn't thinking about a retrace then, only a short trade from 2hr Purple. The following day, we had the 4hr ROMAR cross, so then I was looking at the retrace, because of this rule and also Purple balance on Daily and the other things I mentioned.

I hope this answers your question. I understand it may seem complicated - but in fact the rules are pretty straightforward once you learn them and apply them in the correct way. The biggest thing you need to do is to make sure you know which scenario we are in and where we are in that scenario, if you like where in the sequence we are.

Notes: ROMAR support, EMA support at the moment. SAR attachment on bottom and market goes up to regain balance. Parabolic flipped to resistance and will be locked in at the open of the new daily candle. Smooth at White crossing, Purple heading for EMA. EMA arrow down followed by MACD arrow, correct sequence for down and no major retracements.

H4:

ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Resistance
Psar - Resistance

Checklist:

Last DB Attachment - Bottom at 129.354
Last SAR Attachment - Top at 130.386
Fibonacci - Green

Notes: ROMAR resistance along with EMA. Smooth at White crossing, Purple heading for EMA. SAR attachment on top above ROMAR resistance. Parabolic flipping to support and will be locked in at the open of the next candle. 23.6 Fibo support. White-Purple and Smooth-Purple crossings in the order for an EMA slider.

H2:

ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Support
Psar - Support

Checklist:

Last MACD 0 Crossing - Up
Last EMA Alert Arrow - Up
Last DB Attachment - Top at 130.386
Last SAR Attachment - Top with DB at 130.386
Fibonacci - Green

Notes: ROMAR long term resistance but the current swing is up with EMA below Purple. Market hit on ROMAR resistance and 61.8 resistance. Upper band in no man’s land. Next DB attachment on bottom. ROMAR still above Purple, if ROMAR crosses Purple then it is time to possibly be looking at ROMAR - EMA cross. Parabolic up as support holding strong.

H1:

ROMAR - Resistance
EMA - Support
Psar - Support

Checklist:

Last MACD 0 Crossing - Up
Last EMA Alert Arrow - Up
Last MA Alert Arrow - Up
Fibonacci - Red

Notes: ROMAR resistance, EMA and the 4 horsemen are support. Market above ROMAR resistance with Purple, White and Smooth above ROMAR.

Final Notes: The daily is down but I am waiting for the new daily candle open, this will provide a lot of information. Market turning down with Parabolic soon-to-be locked in as resistance. EMA followed by MACD. H4 has SAR attached on top with market above ROMAR resistance and Parabolic flipping to support. Overall market in consolidation, obviously. H2 ROMAR has the power for the down, being the power/trend chart.

21:00 Adjustments: Daily Parabolic locked in as resistance. EMA at Purple crossing to change swing to down. MACD crossing further below 0 and decreasing. Previous candle hit EMA but not Purple. H4 has EMA at Purple crossing for the up and ROMAR still at resistance. Market hit EMA and Purple and is now above ROMAR resistance with Parabolic locked in for Support. SAR still attached pretty deep above ROMAR on top. H2 has open between Smooth and White and market getting back below ROMAR resistance. Market hit EMA support and retraced up. MACD decreasing and above 0. White getting to cross Purple. H1 has ROMAR becoming support crossing EMA. Open at EMA support and Smooth crossing Purple. MACD decreasing and above 0.

22:00 Adjustments: H2 open candle below Smooth. White crossed Purple. H1 open just above eliminated Parabolic support with Smooth at White crossing. White crossing Purple and ROMAR is resistance but Daily is still imbalanced with Purple.

Entry: Mid-candle entry, 130.043, after all the news was announced, long off H2 Parabolic support. H1 ROMAR is support and the H2 4 horsemen are opening up with EMA support, I bought off support Parabolic and 61.8, providing confluence.

Rules:
Parabolic support hit for entry into uptrend, White below Purple, so not eliminated.
H1 ROMAR is support putting us in sequence for the H2 crossing.

Evaluation: TP hit just barely. This was a sneaky buy in my opinion, but the volatility was still in the candle after the news, and 4 horsemen were showing trend as up. I was pretty much watching the chart like a hawk after the news. I’ll admit, it’s much more comfortable trading an open candle during Tokyo. I think a good trade, buying from support in a consolidated uptrend, especially off Parabolics.

Shaun, thank you for a clear answer,
I guess Im looking for the "strongest" thing/rule and can miss the bigger picture...

I understood from reading that the SAR+DB+ DIV is "set in stone" unless we are in a full trend on all charts, but I guess nothing can be taken out as a standalone , and all rules must be a part of the hole scenario...

got my trades all green, everyday. (before paradox i had not learnt any system, my trades were horrible )

To traders that have not seen the light yet - Im not a good teacher like shinny and dove, thats why i dont post much to some that are still lost this I want to say and I guarantee the system is a GIFT and its very powerful. Cherish it.. you will never and will not ever have a powerful system as such as the PARADOX. Once the light bulb goes on the system can really make you a fortune.
To reach that level of determination is a matter of the will.

I will give you some feedback if you like. You were right when you said it was a sneaky buy, because you were buying from the centre in Consolidation. It was a vulture trade - you saw an opportunity and got in. I don't really do those trades so much these days, but it can be a part of learning and gaining confidence.

With the Daily turned over, and once I bought the market up the day before, I was looking for a short at the top. We had 1hr/2hr/4hr Upper BB Hits, and this is a scenario where I would use the 1hr for an entry, the close outside the BB was the entry, 30 mins after the News, and you were straight into profit.
