I have a question for you with regards to FIFO violations...

I've set Allow Opposite Trades = False, I still get FIFO violations
if I set Allow Duplicate Trades = False as well, I have no violations but there are less than 10 pairs... would that still work with this strategy? Or is there anything else I can do?

The first short time baskets, opened at 01:05, 05:05, 09:05 and 13:05, have given me approx. 2000 pips!!!...See post#1,958...Will start all over again at 01:05 tonight, same set up...

result updates...

badeel_Nesta tpl closed with minus..guess the news affected this,,,BUT
v5.4 with 13:05 start went very well...same setting im using today, and news helped this a lot luckily...got 2000 plus pips...
another session running right now as we speak at 17:05 and still running but little slow i guess this time is a bit late to run this tpl...but lets see...

The code is fairly straight forward. When opentrades > 0 the ea will start to monitor for max and min. the function simply monitors the total pips of basket.. when the highest or lowest is detected it sets a couple of variables. As long as u dont set fliptrade and allownewtrade true the EA will detect Max/Min with no issues. Now you will ask why is the virtual bakset operation refreshing those variables? Easy cause when a real basket is done and u need the virtual basket to continue to open at a new hour and trigger a new basket.. you need to reset those variaables for the new basket. This works as long as you do not set those two other variables. However!!! Lol since the user wants the ea to flip trades or allow new trades the virtual basket has to be refreshed and in doing so guess what. The variables get refreshed lol.
So the solution is to have the EA detect that if a user selects either fliptrades or allownewTrades to ignore the refresh if a virtualbasket is in use.

Please note that when these features were requested the orignator did not consider the effects of using it while a virtualbasket is running..

Oh and before you ask why is it working in beta 32. Thats cause the virtual basket is not working on that one Lol. Hence no refresh of max/min lol.

i will have this ready friday. That is the only day i have a little time to actually sit in front of my desktop. Otherwise what u see is code that was fixed using my thumbs on an android cellphone, remote desktopping to my personal pc lol

Folls other thing. The max min values are not critical to the operation of the EA. For what it is worth i can remove them completely from the code and the EA will continue to operate. So no need to get too excited over this working or not. Its much more important that you create yer own path to making profit given the tools u are using.

I would find a new broker.

I am coming across lot of FIFO violations and trading gets disabled till broker enables it. Is there a setting that can help prevent that?

Hello . You can only falsely oppose trade. And lock down max trades

In version 45 I saw a problem today.
I set up and slept before 23gmt.
And when I wake up. I saw that without a trigger and also not triggered by a trigger in the predefined clock.

I think it's important. Because we can estimate the maximum and minimum number of positions, and actually show the record.
When you are not at the computer desk and you open the chart, you can see how much min max and you can estimate for future days and help you get the right trigger.
