Yeah it's very tough to completely rely on the indicators and EA to do 100% of the work for you. The results will always be inconsistent in my opinion. Everything was red again today due to the news overnight which is becoming a problem. For me, not being able to watch my baskets isn't necessarily my preferred method of trading. I really liked what I discovered yesterday though about manually opening my 4H strength basket and even filtering some of the signals like you've done there with your EQB basket. Yesterday, manually opening this basket resulted in 2 TP hits during the US open, and I opened it for a third time on the Tokyo open for a third TP hit. So either this is a fluke, or maybe we should be paying more attention to adding some human factor to these strategies. Do you feel that kind of strays away from the purpose of the thread? If you add the human factor, it's going to be very hard for someone to replicate what you've done unless the strategy involves which pairs to not trade or to reverse, and what to look for when opening the basket. Here's the manual basket from last night, I didn't change any trades or reverse them, however If I had I wouldn't have had that larger than normal DD.

I see you switched out the TT for FF. Are you just trying out different settings to see which works better?

Good catch. So yes I tried FF last night because at first glance the TT settings (which are always going to be the same as TF by the way). Not sure if it was any better than TT/TF but FF did give me the worst DD so far. Here's another example, I just opened this basket around 11:35 GMT and I'm printing pips again. In just half an hour I'm up 100 pips and a 1:2 R:R.

Also! This was not the best time to open. If I was awake at 11:00 GMT this would already be at 200+ pips, so it's not perfect but pretty darn close.

Yes I also noticed that. I use TF as most of my baskets with TF have been successful. I've been playing around with this as well and its been good so far. I'm using the offline chart to enter, not sure if I'm using it right but its been working lol. If I see the offline chart in an up trend I open normally, if I see its in a down trend I reverse the signals. Last night TO it hit TP, this morning LO it hit TP and this last basket I closed manually cos I saw the trend reversing on the offline chart.

Just like that, 300 pips with the help of CAD and USD news. Almost 10% on the demo account in 2 days, I think we got something here.

105 piperroos on cad news ! not sure how the usd went though,choice was cad only because it moved quicker.

I actually meant to run CAD as well, CAD makes excellent moves with their red news. Here's USD.

Nice ! I was looking at the usd as well but it all got to confusing trying to do the two so stuck with cad.Ill get better at it im sure,just practice and confidence I think.

A bit of rush leaving a few minutes to get the usd setup as well,ill be more prepared next time.

Honestly with CAD news you could probably set a 200 pip target if you open soon enough, CAD is definitely the ideal basket I'm a little surprised USD went so well.

You could do a profit lock past 100 as well just in case it doesn't make it to 200.

Also, I'm doing a test on the H4 strength basket to see if the timing is that important and the answer is yes lol. I opened it at a random time to see how it would react and so far the DD is pretty high but it may turn around. I will also test it at each 4 hour interval.

I am running many different settings. Soon I will be running 1200 basket (36x36) for a month to find out. There is no particular setting right now. Once done, I will share my findings with the group.

It is the other way around. It is form the basket that you get your offline chart. You can use the search function in F2F and learn all you want about basket trading.

So last night I decided to run a test between 23:00 and 00:00 out of curiosity. It was only one test so conclusive results can't be given yet but I'll keep running it for next week to see out of interest. I tested the different times using my top 4 FIFO basket.

You are certainly building up an armory ... congrats
As we know EQB gave selections based on the information that was available to the indicator, Strength, CCFp etc plus whatever the setting used.
It can't be expected to produce better results without more information, just like we humans, after visual inspection of the chart and utilising other indicators.
FxMadness can achieve his amazing % gain using "manual" and if that involves looking at other indicators and making a manual decision then why can't the EA utilise those same indicators to make a "better" decision automatically.
Or maybe FXM just prefers to trade with him making the final decision.
EQB is generally very good, only occasionally is the output incorrect, at that point in time, or maybe it is the settings, but if those settings can be combined with the indicators (filters) then compared to the standard EQB settings used the "adjusted" result was encouraging, see below.
Have to wait for FXM or another coder to comment.
