It was the 12:30...IM opening manually but trying something else out rather than using the ccfp which has let us down last few red news days.Cccfp works but has been inconsistent.Still using xmess7 ea to run trades.I will let you know when I have some solid data and if its viable,but so far so good.

Here's an experiment for people like me who live in the US and aren't awake for LO and most of TO. Just a simple STR H4 TT basket to open manually after a trend has been created. I just waited for a pullback on the 5M chart and executed the basket and it immediately turned into profit. This is just to find something to trade during the boring US open for extra pips, especially when your TO and LO weren't so special lol.

That's awesome man. I would love to have a basket that I could at any given time during the LO/USO just open manually and it would collect 50-100 pips each time, then when it hits TP you just open it again and again all day long.

Ahhhh the stuff dreams are made of lol.

Well I think this requires a bit of manual precision. If I had opened this at 12:45 GMT it would be in massive drawdown. I opened it around 13:45 after the pullback from the two USD news.

But yes us US traders need some action during the day lol. Just trying to find a way to almost manual trade the market, will keep opening the basket when I see opportunity and post results. As of now it has opened some CAD trades after the basket opened that don't look like they are in the right direction so it may be wise not to allow new trades.

Eventually my LO daily basket hit a hard SL. It would not even have to open if the VB mechanism worked, but that's the demo purpose to test.
EA reset to start again next day. In the meantime my USD RN 12:30 GMT basket is floating around zero pips-

There is some internal error with the counting of the VB according to xmess7 but he has told me that it is working fine even if it's showing weird values.

Btw I'm running that same basket setting and it also hit SL today.

Small update, opened another basket at 16:00 GMT same settings and immediately turned to profit. However I am watching the market and 16:00 GMT was a good point to open the basket in my opinion. I may open another basket at some point in the tokyo open.

There have been a number of PMs asking for help with the offline chart writer. Instead of answering them individually, I thought a simple guide (with mistakes of course) should be nice. If there are any mistakes, please let me know and I will correct them.

i opened one also at 16:30 gmt and got -14 minimum pips and 45 pips in 10 minutes .. but i was late ... i like this one very much
One indi ...less spreads ..
aiming for 30-50 pips with this at 00gmt and 07gmt
i will test it

Man that's just cruel, less than 3 pips away from 2 perfect baskets. This was reallllllllly interesting, I will certainly be testing this more and I love how simple it is. Unfortunately I can't tell you what time to start, because that will vary. This is definitely a semi-automatic trading method but that's okay with me if I can net these kind of pips every day. The amount of pairs traded was also quite low which is great, 15 pairs on first basket and 12 pairs for second one. Who knew that the quiet time after US open and after the news settled could be so lucrative.

Hi Embry1, it means that you build an offline chart for the proposed basket using fxm_writer on M5 and then you take your decision based on this ?

So first I looked at the signals provided by the indicator, then I looked at the charts. I have a 200 day SMA, bollinger bands, and RSI for each chart and executed the basket at the appropriate time. The first basket was executed around 13:45 GMT and the second was executed around 16:00 GMT.

It's possible that this could be a strategy for every 4 hour GMT interval. 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00. I may test that, but to get the lowest DD it has to be done manually.

This is great thanks. So basically the offline chart gives a visual representation of the basket with all the trade suggestions? So if the candles are bullish then its good to open the basket but if the candles are bearish then perhaps hitting reverse might be a good idea?

You are basically right, but there is much more to it.

This short writeup was about how to get the offline chart working. Interpretation of the offline chart is an entirely different animal. If time permits, I will do another writeup about that soon.

At the moment I am upgrading my main workhorse. Once done, I have time to do another writeup. The parts are arriving one by one. Going from 16GB of 5 years old RAM to 64GB of high speed RAM. Going from one regular 28" monitor to four 4K 28" monitors. I feel like a kid in candy store.

Once the system is upgraded I can run many experiments including a 36x36 basket matrix for at least a month. These experiments should give us a lot of useful data that after analyzing will be very helpful is increasing our good days and decreasing our bad days. People here have been so helpful to me, maybe the time has come to give something back.

This picture is what I am shooting for.

I don't see anything wrong. It looks to me like a Japanese candle chart. Why don't you apply this template to your chart and see if it look OK.

Awesome got it working. I can see the benefit of using the writer to find better entry and exit points. I've added my own indies that I normally use, lets see how it goes. The only thing I noticed is that you need one chart per indie so if you have a chart with multiple FXM indies then my platform will get really overloaded.

In real life on live account, you should only have one indicator per basket. In demo, when I use it with multiple indicators, I try to choose the indicator that is the best representation of the whole basket. That is not accurate at all.
