I guess you don't keep track of the economic releases. Today is the third day for the Jackson Hole Symposium. So I suspect a pretty good gap with tomorrow's opening.

Thanks for illustrating the "sequence" of H1-H4 ROMARs' synchronisation with the Daily ROMAR starting from H1 and like a wave that rippled through to the H4.
I gather from this, we have to be real careful about counter-trend trades for some time. I am still struggling with the last part :

All this takes me back to my uni during pg, when we had a prof who taught us by posing riddles, teasing the mind to stimulate it, and "read" between the lines. He steadfastly refused to spoon-feed us. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the subject , even though it was very methematical, and ended up choosing to do my thesis in it. But I have to be careful about reading "between the lines" something that was not intended.

Hope you will bear with my little distraction, as I took a break from reading your original post of 16th Aug, and looking at charts for that period.
I am enjoying the journey, and hope you will keep your commentary coming :-)

DAILY :
ROMAR : SUPP

MACD : last crossed UP
SAR/DB : attached at top with magenta dash line.

With the white corssing of purple complete and smooth at purple for the cross, and the EMA at purple, the daily horsemen are headed strongly up. THE PSAR flipped and is support.Market opened with a small gap up.

H4 :
ROMAR : SUPP
EMA : SUPP
PSAR : SUPP
fibo : RED
SAR/DB : attached at top with green divergence line outside the fibo box.

The H4 is in sync with the daily ROMAR trend, horsemen headed strongly up.

H2:
ROMAR : SUPP
EMA : SUPP
PSAR : SUPP
fibo : RED
SAR/DB : attahced at top with green divergence
MACD : last cross UP

The H2 is in sync with H4 and DAILY, with the market outside the fib box.

H1 :
ROMAR : SUPP
EMA : SUPP
PSAR : SUPP
fibo : RED
DB/SAR : attached to top of current candle, with green divergence.

ENTRY Notes : ROMAR trend is in sync (up trend strong) on all charts, trading above the fibo box on H1, H2 and H4. The daily fibo has not flipped, leaving scope for further upward movement.
A long entry awaits correction to purple/smooth on H2.

A short entry is indicated by green divergence attached on all 3 tf's except the daily, but the daily fibo is yet to flip, the risk of higher movement is there as the daily fibo 0 is over 40 pips above the market. I would be inclined towards short entry if the market moves high enough for the daily to show stronger signs of reversal, which could be tomorrow.

My current understanding level of the PARADOX rules falls short here. I would still like to post this plan and await comments from more experienced senior traders, taking this as an opportunity to learn (wait and watch).

Going long at this time is out of the question. Going short is also out of the question. It is a time you have to wait for the right opportunity which is with White Crossing Purple on the H2 and then you can make adjustments with your trading plan.

Support is the power and could carry this market to 131.389 and beyond. The risk of going long at this time is significant until you get a hit on the H2 support for the long. With this scenario you need confluence for an entry. Now you have to make your own decision in how to make an entry.

Final Notes for all three charts: All 4 horsemen of the four charts are uptrend together with ROMAR. But several elements of the uptrend, with each chart, are also indicating a conflict with the uptrend: Fibs and balance!!

The Daily way out of Balance - The Fibo is in an uptrend from the bottom.
ADJ: BB’S parallel horsemen crossed in order.

The 4HR – market above horsemen, both divergence and red fib.
ADJ: SAR attached at smooth. BB’s closing in.

The 2 hour - The Fibo is reversed for the downtrend from the top. Market way above Horsemen. The MACD still strong. BB’s still wide open.

Thanks for your comments Dana. I see now that a short would be counter-trend with all 3 charts in uptrend.

I was still at work, best entry would've been at bounce off the H2 EMA (and the Daily fibo 61.8). I took an entry at the next candle open at 130.28. Currently a drawdown of about 20 pips, but with strong uptrend .... lets' wait and see.

Final Notes: Double top on the H2 chart as Dana said, illustrated by the Parabolic. With the open candle on the Daily the Parabolic will be locked in. All charts are up except the daily which has EMA still above Purple. Daily has the DB attached on top. We are at the top of the Fibo on H1, H2 and H4 time frames, so I will wait for a retrace and/or slider. Another thing I will have to incorporate is the gap, so I’ll update my plan at 1800. H2 EMA would have to cross Purple with Parabolic resistance locked in for me to even consider taking a short trade, as all charts point to up. It depends on the gap, then adjustments will be made. Deciding to do adjustments with the new candle.

2000 EST Adjustments: Daily still imbalanced and DB/SAR attached on top. H4 is at the top of the Fibo with the 4 horsemen in strong trend. H2 has a gap up which is unfilled after market open because market went up from the open. 4 horsemen strong in trend up. H1 has the 4 horsemen running strong in trend as well at the top of the Fibo. We are out of consolidation with all 4 ROMAR’s aligned until white crossed Purple.

Entry: Opened trade when H2 SAR attached, long. MACD well above 0 and 40 pips to the top, and then some. Open candle 2200 EST. Confluence from H4 White and the Parabolic right under market. H2 Purple still above White, H1 has White crossed Purple but entering a slider due to the sequence as it was not at the crossing on the next candle.

00:00 EST Adjustments: Daily imbalance, 61.8 Support. SAR has attached on the previous candle and has locked in on the H2, MACD above 0 and White crossing of Purple H2. Confluence of support is H1 Parabolic from which price can still bounce and H4 Smooth.

Rule(s)

40 pips to the top of the Fibo.

SAR attachment indicating “Stop And Reverse” on bottom of candle for entry into the trend up, and a new candle has opened so I went long.

Evaluation: TP hit, +40. When the market opened I was thinking what Dana had posted, but he had confirmed it - that there was no trade at the moment, but I knew that I would very likely be going long. From there it was just waiting on a hit on support, and with the SAR attaching this was much easier to pick out the area of confluence. I felt confident taking this trade because of the market being in ROMAR uptrend on all charts, and like I said - confluence.

Just moved in to college over the weekend and classes start today, so I may be posting less than usual as I adapt to schoolwork and figure out how to keep balancing trading. With summer over I probably won't be able to stay up checking the candle open at 4 AM. If others can balance work and family I should be able to do so with college, so I will post soon with my next plan and trade.

trade evaluation: took 40 from the market. all charts in full blown uptrend, waited patiently for support and entered, could have been a bit sooner and was expecting to go a little further down till the next candle but went for it in the moment as the indicators were saying long.

Well Jakdan - this was an excellent trading plan with the Entry. I just wish rest of the traders would work as hard as you have. You had set yourself up to listen and follow through; and with each trading plan you had improved significantly. So - from now on post your trades after the fact. Congratulations on a job well done.

thanks Dana, you have no idea how much i have wanted to get to this stage of the learning. still a long way to go and i thank you for your teaching.

Guys it has taken 8 month and almost a 50k demo account blown to get this far.

as was said in the beginning its a long hard process minimum 6 month of trying every possible angle.

KEEP reading the thread as there is plenty that you will miss.

i also want to thank Tom who advised me of a different method of study and get everything in order. if you want it that bad start over again and keep reading, learning and watching all the scenarios and putting them in a journal in correct order.( there are quite a few with only minute changes) but they are there believe me.

Wise words Ant, cheers fella.

My last trading plan was August 8th, and my failure to see what was in plain sight hit me very hard I admit. I have taken some time out to reflect on my mistakes, and continued my normal day-trading with Ichi and some basket trading, with profit which is good....

However, I am not happy, like Ant says it is very difficult to trade live and learn the Paradox, it's a half-hearted attempt at best.

The summer holiday with my beloved family gave me time to sit back, relax, think, and ultimately decide if I want the continued pressure of day-trading, or to learn Paradox to the best of my ability? I decided the latter, and with my families blessing too - and have spent the last 10 days re-reading my journal, adding to it, and checking Niki's trading plans (good job mate).

No more Ichi, no more basket trading or red news breakouts, just calm and steady Paradox for me. As ever, thanks and blessings to Dana and Shaun who have supported my journey so far, through the good trades and the shockingly bad ones..

Result : +40 pips
Self Eval: My hesitation yesterday morning to enter was arising from a "split brain" condition which I have observed often the case with new traders in this thread. But as Dana re-emphasized, going short was out of the question, it would be counter trend. WHat I learnt out of that is - no amount of divergence or other indicators should dive you into taking a counter trade, at least not as you are trying to learnt good trading habits.
The entry could've been better timed, i.e., I should've bouht the hit at the H2 EMA, which was also close enough to the daily fibo 61.8. But being at work means I can only look candle open every 2 hours or less often. I took the next candle open which was 25 pips up already. But as Dana's astute "foresight" told me, the momentum was strong enough to get to xxxx.xxx. I would love to some day get that kind of skill level into my head, it must take a long time of trading experience, I guess.
Dana, your teaching is nothing short of exemplay, and selfless. It strengthens my motivation to get to a point of success with Paradox, May you be blessed for the selfless effort in teaching us.
I will skip trading/posting plan today, as I woke up late and must rush to work now.
