just an update to my developmental dash. i traded manually yesterday for half the day for a total of 220 pip gain.

pipqueen I can start another thread if you'd like I don't want to hijack your thread. I chose to post my results and info about the dash here since I give credit to you for the foundation of my dash.

I have ADR in my dash and I want to include the gaps so I used ATR on the daily timeframe. it's working great but i have an issue that I really need to fix because otherwise it alters my results significantly.
Issue is that my broker is not NY close so on Sunday I have a bar on the daily for like 3 hours. My ATR counts this bar and well its not really supposed to because that bar only represents 3 hours of trading and not 24 like all the other bars. I am trying to figure out
1) A way to exclude Sundays from the ATR (which I know wont be right either since i'll miss 3 hours of trading info, but I would rather miss the 3 hours and have a more realistic ATR, i manually calculated ATR excluding sundays and the result was much closer to true).
OR
2) A way to adjust the time of the bars to match GMT 0.

i dont mind if you keep posting here since our dashes are similar. will you post your latest dash soon? it might work better than mine! and no credit is due. GVC really started the dash i started with!! pretty cool....

hey fellow traders. is anybody using the ICWR intraday system? i started reading about it and using it for the last few days and made about 88 pips yesterday and up 90 pips right now from trades i got into today.

so i am going to change a few parameters on my dash and i wanted to know if anybody has the mql file for ICWR.a indicator? it works pretty awesomely by automatically creating the fib to measure the retrace. but i want to add the values to the lines and also have the 2 parameters it is calculating to build the fib so i can use them for some calculations in my dash.

here's a pic of the fib the indie places automatically. pretty cool!

any help would be awesome!!

Thanks pipqueen. So I pretty much done with the guts of the dash, it now covers different trading scenarios which I'll list below. I do help help with the most important part though. Autotrading/ Entry rules. So far I am using only ADR and it's definitely not the best approach for an entry, which is why it's main purpose it to filter out currency pairs that have already moved beyond the ADR range. What I was able to do though was distinguish in which direction the range was broken and only stop trades from entering that direction, accepting only entries for the retrace or wait for the current candle to finish and recalculate if the ADR was exceeded or if it now has "room" to move in the previous range breaking direction.

I need help understanding your ADX and RSI colors and meanings to figure out how to implement them into my autotrading rules and creating an extra filter to disable more currency pairs if trade doesn't have an edge.

Dash Abilities:
Round number trading (default) OR Instant entries (selectable by button)
Disable Entries based on ADR and Take Profit. Takes into account how far the entry point is if round trading number is selected
Session Trading which overrides the whole EA.
Basket Trading where pairs that you wish to avoid can easily be excluded by selecting other half of the pair.

hey theone! great job on your dash! it sounds pretty fancy!

as far as my adx and rsi colors....the adx works like this:

if(adx[i]<=22){Color12=Black;}
if(adx[i]>22 && adx[i]<30){Color12=clrLavenderBlush;}
if(adx[i]>=30 && adx[i]<40){Color12=clrMistyRose;}
if(adx[i]>=40 && adx[i]<50){Color12=clrLightPink;}
if(adx[i]>=50 && adx[i]<60){Color12=clrPlum;}
if(adx[i]>=60 && adx[i]<70){Color12=clrIndianRed;}
if(adx[i]>=70){Color12=clrMaroon;}

and rsi colors work like this:

i'm doing some tweaks based on the ICWR system. i'm also trying to implement something where autotrade kicks in after price passes a line i have added.

welcome goldenboi, there didnt seem to be much interest in my dash. and i started using the ICWR strategy which has been working out pretty well for the last 5 days for me (up over 11%, over 400 pips). i was looking for the mql4 file and yes, i did find it! i have started working on an ea to trade this strategy automatically but it is too early to post anything yet. my intention is to make each square a button to autotrade as price bounces off the level you click. again, just getting started.....

Thanks for the response pipqueen18. That's very promising performance. Is the system to be used with the dashboard? or is it a different system all together?
If you do not mind, we could work together on the EA as i have a bit of knowledge coding. If you can share the strategy and necessary files, we can work out how to implement this as an EA quicker.

very cool!!! that would be great! the attached pdf is the strategy. chapter 3 is the nuts and bolts

i am working on another ea since my original dash is too much unnecessary data. in the pic, the zigzag and fib on the right is created by the original ICWR indicator (i only added the % levels to it) and i created the panel on the left with my EA. . i'm thinking about autotrade buttons to the right of the levels. what do you think?
i also attached the ICWR template which draws the zigzag and fibo on your chart.

p.s. nevermind my bad entry this morning! if i had adhered to the rules.....i would've stayed in my previous trade instead of cashing out last night and made about 80 pips!!

Haha!! I'd give the document a read as I am just hearing of the ICWR strategy. I think based on the results you have so far, adding an autotrade button will make this super cool, i'm sure there will be other ways to increase the efficiency and profitability of the strategy but i will think about that once i'm done reading about the strategy.
P.S: it will be nice if you could share your results with this strategy intermittently on this thread.

Btw: do you still use the dashboard to trade as well?

well, i started trying out this system like last wed. or thursday. i thought it was pretty interesting. it is fairly easy getting into a trade watching ma's, but i often get in at the end of a run so i thought this would help me with better entries and letting my trades run with more confidence. and i liked how the indie set it's own fib and adjusted it as the price moves.

and considering how i have improved in the last few days......i thought i would concentrate on this for a while.

if this proves interesting for some people, maybe we should start a new thread?

Hi pipsqueen18, if the interest in this method of trading increases then we can start a new thread.

I'm taking a look at the strategy, i'd get back to you on it soon.
