Have any of you experimented with using a VB for FIFO? I was thinking of have a VB set to trigger at say 10-15 pips, that way it might help with those baskets that run straight into DD and don't come back.

Looking at LO yesterday, TO last night and LO this morning, if I had had a VB none of the baskets would have triggered and I wouldn't have had any losses. Anyone have ideas or suggestions of implementing a VB to help with this?

Because I did not run any head to head this week, has anyone got any outcomes for Embry1 TO, LO, NYO baskets ... results appreciated.

I did several tests re VB over the past month, yes it did save some baskets. What also happened the basket was triggered and then went into draw down so effectiveness was nullified except for the initial draw down affect. I didn't keep any stats so unable to offer conclusive evidence of effectiveness.

Interesting difference between your results and mine, started at the same time, you have the draw down of EQB and the upside of the standard setting, which is obviously the best result for the day using the strategy, trying to work out what caused the difference?
With regards to LO have you produced/kept any graph on the sessions trading over time?

Maybe off topic, but I thought it would be nice to see how some approach trading with full force and no compromise. I remember reading that FxMadness was running 13 systems. These are some of the examples.

Thanks I've set up my FIFO baskets with a VB trigger set to 15 pips. From looking at previous data I think this will definitely help to reduce some losses. I know some baskets could trigger and go into profit initially and swing into DD, but for those that run straight into DD which I've seen happen more than once, the VB should help in that case and save me.

Looking at these three baskets, wouldn't you have been in a better shape if you took the opposite side of the trades? What do you think?

Seeing results like these, make me wonder if the direction of basket makes much difference as long as you can withstand the DD. The basket will finally swing back to your favour.

Yes, but unfortunately I was unable to predict what was going to happen.
True, most of the baskets this month for me have been ranging and most come good eventually ... all a matter of balance.

It seems to me that as long as you don't set a SL and have enough funding to withstand the DD, you should be able to close, practically, any basket with profit.

True, but live is ALWAYS using Stop Loss, worked too hard and too long for my money to claim to have balls of steel and trade without a Stop Loss. Just like the markets where anything can happen at any time, loss of power, internet or whatever can happen at any time and that is too high risk for me.
FIFO always uses the rough guide Account say $500 x 1% Risk and a 30-35 SLoss for the Lot size of 0.01 and the SLoss usually moves to 25 'ish.
I know some people say that having a 40 pair x 25 Stop Loss is crazy but at the end of the day it is what you are comfortable using after all it is your money.
The problem with this strategy starting at a fixed time, liquidity is good, but on auto without other filters the trade may well open near resistance or support or at the extremities of the channel which most often causes the draw down, again manual checking may deselect that pair but I am after full auto strategy and if that means I give up a few pips along the way so be it.
So for me the challenge to remain on auto, because it suits my lifestyle, and to use other filters that unfortunately aren't available with xmess7's EA.
That is why I use dashboards in conjunction with FerruFx and FXM's indicators as well as xmess7's.
I am very interested to know the dashboards etc that others use?

Evening mrdfx,

I only have setups for trading embry1's Red News and yours for the LO. On the Red News, I only trade the USD. On mrdfx's daily, I only trade the LO. I have had consistent profits on both; however, I feel uncomfortable when the LO opens and I'm immediately 30-50 pips down, depending on the number of pairs, in the red before it turns around, and normally it does end up in positive pips. My goal each trading day is 50 pips. If you notice, my TP on the LO is 25 pips, and is the same on the Red News trades. Just this week have I decided to go with the VB...the trigger is 10 pips as noted in the attachment. TP is still the same...no SL as I am monitoring the trade. I am looking forward to the lock step increment that FxM addressed on Page 512. This will be a huge enhancement to my style of trading.

There are so many dashboards, that I got confused and gave up on reading about them. There is Casino, GiG... I am not sure if one person alone has the time and ability to evaluates all these different dashboards. It would be nice to have an empty shell dashboard and you just doped in the indicators of your choice. But as I understand it that is not possible and even if it is, it is years away.

At the moment I am running 5 baskets in both directions in TO. The result should be interesting as two of them have already hit TP.

If you are looking for independent opinion about a dashboards then a suggestion would be to contact jenbols (https://www.forexfactory.com/jenbols), now there is a person who does fantastic analysis of just about anything and loves the work ... bound to have some suggestions
I seem to recall you were interested in learning coding, MT4 is on the way out eventually so MT5 will be the code of choice for the future if you plan on staying in the MetaTrader arena, ask FXM he is a clever guy.
And I see your "friend" M.Propper on another thread has got several Code Of Conduct breaches ...
