A couple of months data on that setup has proved its not viable. You are corrected,its important to test for at least 8 weeks in my opinion and experience so far,this may well be a conservative figure.

I have been trying to get it to work for weeks now, with no luck. I am sure the indicator works perfectly, but the problem is me since I am missing something. Maybe a video would be a good idea, so FxMadness doesn't have to answer to so many people and repeat himself, I am sure he can do many other more productive things with his time then repeat the same thing for everyone who has a problem with his indicator.

I am on a really restricted internet connection now so i can not do online too much.

In the mean time:

When the market is open !

Load a single FXM_Diff3 on a chart.
Make sure you set the "Write BDM basket on lock" parameter to true.
Lock the current selection by clicking on the timer text.
The timer text will change into "Locked FXMx-y" where x is the day number (1-monday, 2-tuesday etc) and y is the number of pairs in the basket.
Check in your datadirectory in MQL4/Files/BDMBASKETS if you have a file called FXMx-y.
Now load the FXM_Writer indicator on the chart and set the Indicator_ID_Number the same as the FXM_diff3 ID_Number, leave inputs as default for now.
Make sure both indicators are running by loading the indicator window.
The writer will generate an offline chart with the name #FXM#xx,M15 where xx is the number of pairs (actually the day should be in there too, my mistake).
Now go to your MT4 offline chart menu and open that chart.

Found what I was missing. One crucial step Make sure you set the 'Write BDM basket on lock. I was going through all steps except this one. Many thanks for clearing it up. If I have some time, I will write a PDF and post it so there won't be any questions in the future.

All set up for the week, hopefully we have some green pips ahead. I will be running some of the baskets live this week and I'll post updated templates for the most profitable baskets closer to the end of the week so we can have proper testing. Trying to work out better R:R ratios and utilizing the profit lock a little more this week.

Keep me updated on that 11:30 GMT I would almost imagine a reverse basket would work at that time but who knows. And yes one of the things I like most about forex is that you're pretty much just taking money from the banks lol.

Just my opinion, if the thread is opened up to all EA's free & paid, then I believe the same thing will happen to this as has happened to nearly every other thread I have followed, that is, it becomes very confusing and it loses it's focus on finding the best strategy and turns into an educational thread teaching people how to use each EA which makes it even more confusing.
My suggestion, if you find or are using a paid EA and it works well, you develop a great strategy then please send a PM for it's inclusion.
Just my thoughts ...

I'm all set up and ready to go. I'll be retesting some set ups from last week for additional confirmation, there were some that I wanted to cut but decided to give them another week to change my mind. I'll also be retesting my top 4 baskets to make some conclusive decisions on which is the best (most consistent).

I don't trade live on Monday's as I have never had any solid positive results on a Monday, but I will run the demo account that's in my TE tomorrow and see how it goes, but my live set up will resume on Tuesday.

started at -165 pips and than straight to 219 pips .... took 25 minutes
but my profit lock been triggered and closed at 28 pips pofit
Have to work on profit lock set up

I believe that xmess7 is doing more work on the Profit Lock section. in the meantime you probably already know you can use a Dashboard like EAX or GVC's to work out the right settings, that way when xmess7 has finished you should be able to transfer the tested settings ...

your second indie is not working, mine wont load either.

i cant figure out why, only thing i can think of is the template embry posted must have a flaw.

and or maybe alex and me have the wrong fxm indie in our platform, that might be the culprit as well. maybe you could post the version you are running as well so that we can get it to operate correctly.

Hi montego yes I have my TO basket set to open at 23:10 GMT, and I also trade LO using the time 07:10 GMT. I use the same settings for both sessions. Be advised that I don't trade on Monday's live using this strategy and will only trade on Tuesday.
