evaluation: after staying up late I just woke up and realized that if I were to short now it would be to disregard ROMAR support and H4 SAR. Due to this I decided to not make a trade going short even though my plan calls for it.

Final Notes: In a downtrend consolidation with the H2 but near heavy support as market fails to break, I expect an SAR attachment on the upside near 23.6 resistance before this turns back for the down

Long: Entered long off another H2 ROMAR/Daily EMA/H4 PSAR retest for support confluence. TP before 23.6 for a safe target. SL well below lower BB on H2 so should keep me more safe

Evaluation: SL hit. Bad trade and I wanted to re-enter for the short once the DB connected with divergence and went back to B/E to confirm the trend but couldn't as per the rules. Shouldn't have gone against EMA and Parabolic trend but multiple supports were holding so thought it would go for the up. Should have waited for the breakout while it was so tight, will be more patient next time. Also didn't take into account the Daily balance as it has been a couple candles without Purple

Most importantly - you did not apply the rules. I am sure other traders had noticed that also.

Hello, I'm creating my journal with Word, and if you add headings and sub-headings, you can navigate the whole document from the left "navigation panel" and even make some keywords into links into other places in the document for reference. Also searching any word highlights the valid areas in the navigation panel. I believe no one can cope with this learning process without creating that kind of journal. Sometimes even if you make a plan, you are left with a blank: No entry points. Then you must know what is the basic action in that situation: Wait for a signal to appear that you DO understand, and enter from a major resistance or support according to trend. It sure takes a lot of time. But I must say Mr. Dove has given us a system which shows strong supports and resistances. And he's not here to trick us, but to help.

Dear Dana and traders,

my forum study progress is slow, but steady. close to page 200 now. Full time job, young kids, little time left after work.
If I were to post trading plans to speed up my learning, would that be regarded as being against the forum rules ?

I had to re-install the indicators, and am a bit unsure about :

- gmtServerOffset setting of the Sessions indicator. If my broker (City Index which is forex.com in australia) runs GMT time, I think this offset should be zero ? Can please be kind enough to correct me if wrong ?

- Broker_Time_offset should be zero for the same reason ?

- If the H2 shows 51 candles, is that going to corrupt the indicators ? I am running a windows vm on my work macbook using fusion. The free VirtualBox (instead of fusion) used to give me 1600X900 option, but fusion just wouldn't let me get that resolution. I had to dump VirtuaBox as it was crashing too often.

I also attach a screenshot of the 2H chart. Much appreciate if Dana, Shaun or or someone knoweldegeable could please do a quick review to see if it looks right ?

I hope to continue to make slow but regular progress towards complete read of the full forum, looking forward to (most likely) making an idoot of myself publicly. I think this is a complex system, Dana's estimate of 6 months to learn might not be enough for me. It's nearly 2 months now for me.

Smaller time-frames are well known to be less predictable, regardless of the "system". And this system uses a combination of time-frames, in which even the Daily is crucial.

Your session is correct but your Fibo is not because your bar spread should be 39 showing with Green at "0" with the last low. If you feel comfortable creating trading plans and posting then I suggest in doing so. It will help you to advance a little faster in us helping you with errors with your plans.

im not in Oz but it looks like you need to move your Session indicator back 1 bar (take a look at mine, which i believe to be correct) this is the one off my Laptop and additional screen, i cant get to my main screen yet, but i checked it this morning and it all seemed ok. EDIToops MINE MIGHT BE INCORRECT??

yes you need the 39 bars or your fibs don't work correctly.

don't worry about making a fool of yourself, ive been doing it for 6 month and its the only way to learn.

if you get it wrong you need to know why. Dana will always give a reply/ explanation if you stick to the rules.

I'm currently on page 60 and still have a very long way to go and a lot of studying to do. Weeks and even months must be spent to learn all there is to this great trading system. I've only just begun so I may not have the right to ask any questions yet so I hope I can be forgiven in asking a maybe stupid question. I'm sorry in advance.

I've read that a PC must be kept open 24hrs a day and rebooted every 17:00 EST so that the data is always correct to make sure trading with the Paradox will be without problem particularly problem in data. As of the moment I only do my trading in an internet café. I dont have my own PC/Internet connection at home.

Currently is it still a must to keep a PC open 24hrs a day and be rebooted every 17:00 EST? Or where there changes made already that even if I cant have my PC and MT4 open 24hrs a day it will be fine and there will be no problem.

What are the implications and problems I may encounter if I dont have the correct data because of the fact that I cant have a PC open 24hrs a day? How serious can the problems be? Is it going to affect how I trade the system?

Since I cant have a PC/MT4 opened 24hrs a day it's holding me back from learning the Paradox system and makes me want to give up studying this great trading system. Which seems to me a hard thing to do.

Again I sincerely apologise for a asking a question that might have already been answered, a question that seems naive and stupid.

I will patiently wait for an answer anytime and again I'm sorry.

You might have misunderstood about the 24 hour scenario as there is no rule in leaving your computer running 24 hours. But - if your computer is open at 17:00 ET then you need to reboot your platform as the new data can replace the old data. And that was not a stupid question. I hope that helps you.

Now there is nothing holding me back from studying and learning the Paradox system. When you answer questions or give comments to trading plans and charts posted by someone I consider that mentoring and training from you. I have been camping with my family, but I'm back now. I have been watching the market and also the thread, Dana has been his usual gracious self in answering questions, and Nikki - what a trade you did selling the top! Hello Dana

We love the outdoors! I have one more camping trip arranged - my family, my in-laws and also my Sister in Law and her family, so a big group. After that, the kids (and me!) are hard back at it at with School and trading!
