Hello, ive red this stuff somewhere but cant find it again so maybe people here know what i mean / asking about.


Somehere i red that when you lose, you should be in smaller pos size, and when you win you should incrase?

How does this work in practice? Say that my standard pos size is 2%, and when i lose one time the next trade will only bee in 1% and if i lose that the next will be 0,5? And if that is a win i go up to 1% again?

And it this is the system, does it have any name so i can google it?

I hope you get what iam thinking about, sorry for bad english

If you are risking 1% ... the calculated lot size will adapt itself based on your balance/equity at the time you are calculating it.

If balance/equity has increased, 1% will give you a bigger lot size.

If balance/equity has decreased, 1% will give you a smaller lot size.

Yes sir! That part i understand, but ive read that you should cut down on your bet size more.

If u got 100 on my account , and losing 1% its 1unit, and then if i lose next bet on 1% will be 0,99 unit. So its a decrease,
but what i red it should be a bigger decrease, like 0,5 the new time, or is this wrong tecnuiqe?

Then that would be your own choice according to your own trading risk and style.

I understand, thought that system have some sort of name so i can google it and learn more about it, iam pretty new to trading and want to be a defensive player.

if you double your bet when you win... it's called "anti-martingale".

if you split in half your bet when you lose..... well... wth is that? maybe you're the inventor.. so give it a name yourself

I would call it the "anti-anti-martingale".
Unfortunately, I am not sure about the name of the system but I have thing very much like FerruFX said, its automatic stuff. Like if you have 100 USD and you have 1% risk and the capital increases to 200 USD, so your risk is obviously 1% only but the rewards increases. I guess that’s said above and you even mentioned you understood it, as per rest that’s entirely on how comfortable you are with higher/lower risk.
You guys didn't get what he means.. he wants to increase the risk per trade when he wins . eg. he bets 1... win, next trade he bets 2.

IMO it makes sense if you want to add some "ganbling fun" to your trading and you're ready to blow the account.
Position size its directly related to win % of whatever strategy you are using; if you have a high win rate you can use a bigger % position size with no problems at all on the long run

High win rate alone doesn't make the system profitable. Winrate + R:R does ...

- 99% winrate : you can be a loser
- 1% winrate : you can be a winner

The above depends on the R:R.

The first step in Strategy development BEFORE we introduce any MM is to ensure strategy has long term without any MM. Without MM to me means position sizing of MINLOT or 1xAccountBalance() or 1xAccountEquity()

Managing the money is a great skill in Fx trading , practically your all trading knowledge and most powerful approach can be flop , if you don’t know how to manage money . so we have to emphasis on this trading plan first of all.

Yes, very good point. How much we can earn our trading strategies it totally depends on our money managing approach.
Personally the "risking 1%" doesn't work very well. At best it leaves you treading water and at worst it slowly chips away at your balance.

Yes its true , the more you risk , the more you gain . but beginner trader should minimize his risk when trading , 1-3% risk is more appropriate for them to avoid loss with certainly.

Yes and the more you risk the more you lose. Why do you think the majority of people lose money in forex? They have unrealistic expectations of the money they can make. They risk too much thinking they can make more money by doing so.

Forex is a very professional market so better to make an initial trade management plan and then better stick to it.
Yes, a healthy profit ratio is always helpful! On the other hand, you have to use small risk reward ratio! Money management is the most powerful weapon here to protect your trading balance from any unfortunate result!

Its not a weapon ! Its common sense and not being greedy. The majority of the 95% that fail in Forex think they are going to get rich from it.
If you put $1000 in the bank and get a return of 3% you think that is a great deal. But in Forex people look for returns of 100+ %

Common sense (should ) tell you that is MADNESS
Trade management is preferable and more crucial than money management per se. Most here speak about MM in the context of limiting your loss and preserving your trading capital which is meaningless if your trade management is not robust enough to generate consistent and sustainable gains. You need to know exactly where the resistant and support levels are first afterwhich you will then place your entry/exit nearest to those levels in order to optimise your RR ratios which is the right and only MM to succeed in this business. Without this skill even the best MM will eventually bust your account. The only difference is whether it is by one fell swoop or by a thousand cuts. The end result is still failure at it's best. Not wanting to put to down but the reality is such.
Pls disregard my msg if you feel slighted. Just stating the facts. Forex is about trading and not investing.
