One Question about high and medium impact news !!
Did you ever taught about setting stats about news categories and results about them .(i explain to make sure my engislh is clear)Some news are more powerfull than others . And we could start to set a stat sheet about news categories that we can fix TP's and SL's for specific ones...????
Or maybe you already started that?

In addition : i remember one french trader been doing stats like this for pre news trading and there was stats about the variations about the forecast and previous on news .
let say on PMI , there was a specific variation acceptable to trade or not the news ...
More : i remember also that the pre-news trading was telling us exemple that USD red news was negative to USD , they were trading that news from monday let say usdcad All sells trade untill the news ... i have to find all this but i am sure it could help a lot .

I don't think you need a template as its easy to set up. The settings for the news trading basket is 60, TT, L1, and you select only the currency pairs that is related to the news that you trading, for example if you will trade NFP then you will select only the USD pairs.

Thank you , this i know , i trade it since 2 weeks , but i was talking about the PIF setting fromm the post 1 ... 2 days i am trying to set it up ...
i will take off all the ccfp , and all indicators and start again , maybe all the ccfp(1) ccfp(2) etc etc are getting in conflict .

It's a possibility. I really haven't had to go that in depth with it yet, this month has just been really slow with news and nothing is really creating good trends so the TPs and SLs are shorter. If you feel like that may help then by all means test it out. Either way you'll never get an exact TP or SL. I do agree that it helps to know the strength of the news but the market may always have a different reaction that you predict.

Yes , sure i remember one good trader told me and i will always remember this ... (with a strong russian accent) Don't fight the market , he his stronger than you , take the profit and run !!!

I was talking more about the studies about the variations between the actual and forecast .. from this there is some variations that will tell us to go for big or small targets ... or just not to trade the news .. but hey , i will check it out and come back to you

your explorer seems to be traded like your live accounts, am i right there ?? meaning you oversee it with the intention to make it grow steadily, and have no experimental stuff trading on it.

if thats the case then its clearly doing quite well already going through trade history, well done.

that might be a bit much.

my vps can handle about 4 easy from 5 its so so. and its a quite powerfull vps.

what i found if its time based and your resources are at the limits the baskets might not fire. thats been my experience so far.

If I run into any issues I can split it and run 4 or 5 on my laptop. Will definitely be a pain to have to go back and forth though.

get a cheap vps around $10 a month you can get a good one already. for live accounts i recommend cns, demo any cheapie will do.

unitedhoster in germany i use for demos, but their interface is hard to understand, be warned. theirs are cheap and quite powerfull.

Trade explorer setup for Embry1 news but using a 30min close option as well for all trades so we can compare results.
Also Embry1 daily setup with a trailing profit 200/50/50

I am also running a weekly ccfp but trading one basket daily at Tokyo open t/f settings and 150t/p and sl with 9/12ma

All baskets are set for a 5% risk per trade.

All credit goes to Embry1 for giving me a great week on news,cant wait to see how things play out for everyone.

Thanks, the trades in there are basically my base FIFO approach from Post 7141 (https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=9992958#post9992958) and some testing with minor variations.

Standard practice for Monday my standard FIFO, Monday is a very "different" day, although that has proven incorrect in recent times.
I still run my demo trade chart to give a direction for the next few hours, at the moment here GMT Sunday 21:30, it is nothing, however if close to open it looks good then yes I will open. Today unless there is a very good trend early today I wont open because I wont be here.

Damn you beat me! lol I've got 6 platforms running, 5 on demo and 1 on live, my laptop seems to be handling it, the fan does run a lot but I don't get anything freezing up etc so I'm happy. Hopefully as the testing continues and we find consistent set ups the need for so many platforms running will decrease.
