As I see it you are pretty good at scalping,your charts are wonderful to watch and also educative.If you're in profit with the scalp trades you should not stop,just do whatever you can around the job.As for swing trading you're good at picking tops and bottoms the rest is just patience,let them run.I had a target for gbpjpy swing,142.20,all I had to do was waiting for price to reach there but instead I kept monitoring and closing trades prematurely,still educating myself.It's like Kennyz wrote in one of his posts years ago "turkeys always come home to roast" or something like that.And that means in my opinion the next daily,h4 swing low or high,strong trendline,an obvious supply or demand.For me being in the know where price will turn and having a decent target is the most important,I can trade long term or short term until price reaches that target,then reverse and repeat.

Oh it's mainly just my issue of discipline and frustration of being stuck in work and missing the meat of the action and that swings are probably best suited.

One thing I like about scalping one pair is if you make a mistake, you can quickly tidy up and re-sync without too much damage.

UJ scalp was pretty easy one really based off H4 engulfing and M15 just for more detail.

Was a good run on UCAD, definitely need to get back to this style. Very low maintenance trading.

Kiwi looking quite interesting.

Yes,it seems that they wanted price lower into weekly demand,waiting for the big buyers to come in and start opening trades.If that doesn't happen then there is another superb demand lower in weekly,that one must work.Patience is the key.

Dear C-12,
Sorry for bugging you one more time. I have put up the indicators and templates on my charts. As i have read this thread till now, you started with M1 and moved to various TF's. Since you are pretty good at it, it may be easy for you to trade each TF. As a newbie learning this strategy, can you suggest me the TF i should be looking at, as in the TF is should be analyzing and the lowest TF i should go in the trade.

Yeah the commercial thing is a joke but it is what it is.

Time-frame and the amount of pairs to trades is probably the thing that will drive you mental while trying to figure out SD trading.

Ideally you would want 3 time frames next to each other, although 2 is ok.

1) Swing - W1, D1, H4
2) Day trading - H4, M30 - M15/M5 execution charts (although I'm really finding M30 is my favourite low time frame chart) M15/M5 just gives a bit extra detail.

I would recommend picking two pairs to day trade and maybe up to 16 if you prefer to swing. Depends how many monitors you have.

Don't bother with M1 at all since it won't teach you anything about PA.

There is another option which you can start straight away with (to be honest with very little learning needed).

Line up a stack of pairs in the terminal (All locked on either H1/M30 or M15 to preference).

Flick though and pick the best looking (1 or 2) SD zones that are likely to hit that day and stick a limit order on them with a 2:1 RR target (risking 1%).

Once you get good at picking the zones you can build a demo account quickly while getting to grips with SD zones.

There was a nice M15 supply on EU today.. Risk was 18 pips and it ran for 50.

I took BE out of it since I was aiming for lower...had a limit sat on it all week.

Is this the 15 min supply you're talking about? I saw it after the fact and was wondering myself where I would have gotten out at before the move back up... Did you have yours drawn differently? Also, does it not invalidate the zone since it was broken by the wicks? You still take the trade as long as it comes back down into the zone?

C-12 is the S/D expert.

Sam Seiden's "odds enhancers" would suggest that price spent too much time @ the box you drew.

Price left quickly which is good but price was just being held down by the supply directly above prior to a "news event" so was more a liquidity gap that dropped price rather than new supply entering @ that location. Notice how price was slowly "grinding" its way to the true supply level. Good S/D zones usually get a quick reaction in the opposite direction.

Just my opinion. C-12 might have a better view of the location.

SRT is correct Jack, your level didn't even register as supply for me.. Seiden's odds enhancers are a good place to learn.

What was nice about it was it was a great area of liquidity / novice stops.

What was more interesting to me was the fresh M30 demand formed just before news (and retest - red arrow). Then the engulfing PA to take it back up again.

And a good example why multiple TF's are useful when day trading a single pair.

If I was sat around actively trading then this looks like it was a nice day to pick up a lot of pips...

I have this fixed in my upper left screen. Reading the higher TF PA on the DX is essential for me when focusing on EU.

Notice price got stuck up against the H4 level - the 2 engulfing (yellow boxes) were the key that EU was heading up.

Also notice the PA on the daily.
