Just a little more on the idea of creating an indicator/filter to find triggers on the "virtual trades " once the main CCFP/FXM indicator monthly chooses what it thinks will be the long term winners.
If we think monthly here, Based on the first indicator choosing on a filtered system (eg bbqueeze/3 colour filter), then we should not need reversals in the mix at all (although we could filter both reversals and standard trade with a shorter term filter to try in the virtual basket and find scalping opportunities) – and the secondary indicator/filter would analyse opportunities to FOLLOW the trend of the suggested trade within the virtual environment.
I mean by this if the CCFp chose buy GBP/JPY and was originally filtered on the basis of green on 4hr/daily as a Long trade then we assume the trend is moving long for the month ahead.
Our second indicator will thus only allow LONG as an option when it sees a trigger point to enter live ( we should be able to possibly allow this as T/F, as I have seen in my backtests some of the filtered trades CCFp chose headed in the wrong direction) and seek a trigger point eg a cross over on a CCI filter.
Anyone who has time to think about this, I appreciate ideas for Jess, and the genius indicator writers to explore this option…
