No wonder.

My FxPro experience is :
Slow.
Very slow.
Requotes.
Margin plays like crazy. Last big news - 10x times pound and 12x times G/J. So 1:8.
That was two days before election.!!!
No warning either. Old positions not new?!?!
Big spreads night....

I do demo only so don't care how "magnificent " real is.
Imagine what the margin shafting will be!!!!! Poor you .

Oh, today they stopped newsFeed!!!! At lunch!!!!!!

So Beware!!!

I don't know why Fxpro has so much bad review. Fxpro please treat your clients well. You're in the business because of them. You make $$ from spread, commission and swap are they not enough?

When I opened account I received a call for ask about how much I will deposit and when. That was enough for don't work with them... It's evident I made right

I have to agree with you, execution on Friday, during the News was very bad, my SLs were executed with much bigger loss than their location.

I think FXpro is good but is not suitable for scalping.... spreads it too high

If you’re trading with FxPro keep in mind that the broker seems to have abandoned its social trading platform SuperTrader. Although the broker has not made an official statement on the issue its social trading terminal SuperTrader is no longer present among the platforms they offer and that the webpage dedicated to this social service is no longer accessible.

Hi Al-Agha,

Bear in mind that Stop orders are executed at VWAP prices, so during volatile news releases there can be some slippage, however, please contact our support team directly or send an email to us with the order number(s) and we will be happy to check this for you in more details.

Please give your clients a better treat. I use to eye Fxpro and was thinking of trading with you. When your clients are not there for you you will not be in the business. I continue to monitor Fxpro traders comments

Kindly note that Demo Accounts are meant to reflect real market conditions, however they remain simulations only, with their main purpose being to let you familiarise yourself with the platform and also test your strategies in a risk-free environment. If you are experiencing a slowness on the platform this could be caused by a connection issue. If you contact our support team we may be able to help you troubleshoot this.

I am not sure what you are referring to when you say that there were margin increases on FX prior to election, because during the UK election we only increased the margins for EU Indices. As previously stated in this thread, any changes to margins due to upcoming events are communicated to all of our LIVE clients ahead of time, and are also published on our official blog:

During events such as the UK election, it is normal to have an increase in spreads, depending on the volatility at the time.

You also stated that you receive requotes, so you may be interested to know that we offer several account types that use ‘market execution’, instead of instant, meaning that you do not receive any requotes.

With regards to the news feed, I assume you mean the news feed that sends DJ headline updates to the MT4. This news feed is generally very reliable and we are not aware of any recent issues with it. Should you ever experience such issues, you can always contact our customer support team which is available 24/5 and we will be happy to help you.

Dear mlawson71,

It is correct that we are no longer offering the Supertrader platform, however, we have a wide range of other platforms and account types to choose from, including MT4, MT5, cTrader, FxPro Markets and Edge (Spreadbetting).

We aim to keep our spreads as competitive as possible, and we offer different account types with different spread conditions. For example, our cTrader account spreads on FX majors start from 0 (plus commission), and we also have a fixed spread account for the MT4 platform.

Hi,

I'm going to describe an experience I had with Fxpro Ctrader. This was on a demo account with Fxpro ctrader and my stop loss was put at $50.00 below 1327.68 but somehow the slippage lead to a $261.99 loss. This upward movement was due to the conflict in Korea peninsula. Unfortunately Ctrader does not show my original buy stop which was slightly above the 1327.68 level so this entry level price must of been due to slippage. This trade was made late Sunday around 8pm, so liquidity must of been low. Look at the screenshot below. For those that think I had a stop loss at $261.99 is wrong as this is more than 5% of my demo account and a very bad risk management policy.

Now look at the metatrader 5 attachment below of Fxpro and Forextime. They have different names but they are both spot gold ounce I believe. I have shown the stop loss hit and the entry price on MT5 FXpro.


Ctrader is a ECN and I believe the Fxpro Mt5 is not whilst also the XAUUSD has adifferent name than the gold name but they are both Gold ounces but I find this ridiculous. Even though its a demo account I will contact Fxpro for clarification on this. If this was a real account I would of made a compliant. I thought I show this for other traders out there. If I'm mistaken on this please clarify. Thank you.

O I forgot to say the issue I have is with the spike on Ctrader but there is none on MT5, what is that about?

The buy stop was placed around 8pm and the trade was closed at 23:00pm.

Hi Sukhaveer789,

To clarify what happened here, at opening, one of our LPs was quoting a price which was later corrected. We are in the process of correcting the cTrader platform at the moment so you will soon see this reflected.

Any complaints we received regarding this were of course dealt with and amended accordingly.

I hope this clarifies the issue.
