Hey malcolm, all vsa trders i have seen dont use candlesticks, is that just their preferable choice or is ot better for vsa? Very new to this and havent gotten trough a lot of material yet on this. Keep up your excellent work thank you!

It doesnt matter.. I just preffer bars because I think they are easier to read

To trade VSA you need volume, spread of the candle ( with the close price) and your analise of it. that's all

you can use candlestic, or OHLC candles or HLC candles. its pure preference as long as cou can see clearly the close of the bar the spread of bar and the correspondent volume of that same bar.

It's a personal preference as to whether one uses HLC bars, OHLC bars, or Candles. However, VSA does not look at the Open. Nothing has happened yet. So HLC is the most "pure" or technically correct way. However, I am sure there are numerous VSA traders who would tell you the benefit they get by seeing a "hammer" line on ultra high volume. Or VSA traders who use OHLC bars that like to see "effort" bars that open in the lower 25% of the bar's range and close in the upper 75% range.

Try to find the one that suits you best and stick with that at first. At some point, you will be able to seamlessly change from one to another. But in the beginning, it's better to focus on just one.
Without VSA, you're playing checkers while the Smart Money plays chess.

this thing could go either way tomorrow . plenty of supply at 12320 that pushed her down 70 points and they call Gbpjpy the beast .. it's a pussy cat compared to DAX

Us stock markets showed major weakness .

usd may gain further strength . I will be looking for sell GBP and EURO today if open range breaks to downside .

EURO potential target 1.1650
gbp 1.2890/1.2870.

Gold is buy if open range breaks to upside, the market dynamics in the short term changed overnight and my longer term bull bias has returned (1350) . Daily target is 1272 but if a wide spread day 1280. The dynamics really shifted in us session
