Just a thought

Adopting a 'what-if scenario' in your trading analysis – particularly using a top-down, multi-time frame approach, will improve your trading. For example, it will help you better trap the market and avoid making the mistake of focusing on only one side of it.

Do you want to know what doesn't help? seeing and reading other peoples analysis especially on sites likes this and especially on the interactive trading side of it, as obviously you reading this enter and exit in your own way and when reading other peoples analysis on where they think the market will go, do and behave, it will always play at the back of your mind 'what if they are right?' and it'll make you 2nd guess yourself.

Best thing you can do is ignore all that bollocks, do your own thing and take no notice/have no interest in anyone else's ideas. Forex is about doing your own thing.

Tell us what you learnt recently that could make you a better trader or help other fellow traders become better. That is the focus of this thread. If you believe you don't have to learn anything or to improve as a trader, this thread is not for you. No hurts.

To trap a market, don't just jump into a moving market. Study the market and analyse it first. Then plan your approach and act on your plan.

What has any member of this forum learnt last week for better trading? For me, last week I learnt to incorporate another set of S/R levels to my levels, I called them minor S/R levels. They relate to my setup time frame rather than the bigger S/R levels based on the weekly time frame.

Chasing the markets can be perilous. If you want to effectively trap the markets, you don't wait until the markets open. You don't do it during the markets. You do it in a disciplined way involving pre-market opening analysis and define clear conditions and criteria which price action must meet as you wait for the markets to meet them.

Yeah! Based on your pre-market analysis. Ideally, and for sustainable profitable trading, you should have a trade plan for each pair you are tracking.

A lot of hype has been made about screen time. That a trader needs a lot of screen time. Really? If a trader spends a load of screen time without being focused on specific things and without identifying and assessing how they are progressing, is that what screen time is about? Imho, the emphasis should be on quality and focused screen time demonstrated in improved competence as a trader. What do you think?

Have come to understand that you have to take one day at a time, everyday is a unique trading day even when your using the same trading system,
you don't know and don't have to think about what the market will do tomorrow or next but all need to do is to stay true to you discipline each day at a time.
