Hi Karpa,

I think the Big Mac Index is better, because the more complex products get, and the more companies/people are involved in the delivery chain, the more you get extrinsic factors to the price. Think alone at the customs.

Maybe one has to go even simpler than a Big Mac.

Or maybe we have to compare typical prices for drugs like Speed, or crystal Acid or so LOL

Internal Cracks Are Showing In The Market - Low Volume Highs

Hmmm, you know that I did a lot of volume analysis, especially on smaller TF.

In the last years one could witness so many volumeless new highs at times, when no one essentially is trading, that only one conclusion came to mind:

1.184x can also be an attraction.
If it make a new HH... invalidate the H & S idea .
So I'll look at AB = CD 1.183x/4x.

They can do this job in many different ways, e.g. through psychology, derivatives, manipulating the VIX and so on, HFT via spoofing etc, especially with little money when the timing is well thought out.

There were also reports of the FED manipulating (buying) the markets via the Citadel, or just remember the many times the FED's Bullard stepped in to verbally talk up the markets at critical points.

many things that were deemed to be myths in the past are a fact today, e.g. the manipulation of Gold, Silver, Oil, bonds or rates, and even Forex markets by the biggest banks.

You will get a really exiting reading weekend when you do a google research on the various topics (try Citadel and plunge protection team, or Citadel and Bernanke, or google deeply into HFT and spoofing, etc).

both do channel very well

the first count on itself would be more likely, but the structure of the move down from the recent top and the following high retracement looks like a bullish pattern (because I can not count the move down as impulsive, which makes the second count also very likely

Sentiment data show 79% bulls in EU and 12% bulls in DX at Thursday. With yesterdays moves, they certainly will be back at more extreme levels.

COT is also at extreme levels, not only for commercials or specs, but also for the small traders, which are as bullish as they were only 10 years or so before


Yesterdays move up looks very very messy with many overlapping moves. I can not count it in any way impulsive. Maybe one of you have nice ideas for that.

So most probable case for me is, that price may reverse down on Sunday/Monday for a C-wave impulse of a wave 4, or going lower/sideways for a triangle pattern.

Lately I find it is getting harder to decipher the waves. May have to do with the fact that also Forex is traded more and more by Algos :-(

Hmm, over the last days many influential or well known people spoke out against the cryptos, some even saying they were pyramid schemes.

Others asking, what the difference is between value of cryptos and fiat money created out of air.

Last months it got more and more obvious, that the cryptos inherit massiv technical difficulties and are very prone to theft etc.

Prechter had a nice article comparing the cryptos to the tulip mania, it can be found here:
