Last year, in one of the publications, I read that the percentage efficiency of H&S formation is as high as 84% and iH&S – 82%. In that comparison they were the most effective formations, and since the statistics were calculated on the basis of the analysis of 50 currency pairs, and as many as 737 patterns (620 correct) were found for H&S and 718 patterns (590 correct) in case of inverted H&S, test can be treated as reliable.

EUR/USD reached the support zone yesterday. Demand response and upward movement have occurred in the direction of the recently broken supply zone. Because head and shoulders is still intact, this movement should be treated as a return to the broken neckline. Looking at the last wave of declines, we see that one more drop in wave 5 is needed to finish it. This wave should once again test the lower limit of the support zone, which is around 1.1680 level.

The gains we saw on the EUR/USD pair, which were the consequence of defending the support zone, reached the first hurdle which is the recently defeated support. The level has so far been rejected. It is quite possible that we will see a second attempt to attack the level and consequently a re-test of the defeated trend line. This will be a return movement to the neck line of head and shoulders formation. If the levels are rejected, the formation will be in progress and we should see a reversal of the short-term trend. The return over the resistance zone negates the downward scenario and will allow EURUSD to return to the main trend...

Morning Options: CHF/JPY – PUT, EUR/GBP – PUT

CHF/JPY – On H4 chart, we see an upward trend in a channel. Recently, however, the price has problem to set new maximum and the correction prolongs. On Monday there were stronger declines, yesterday were several weaker bullish candles. Today the price falls again. It seems that after yesterday’s correction, the course returns today to declines, whose target in the long run may be the bottom edge of the channel. It is therefore worth considering the PUT option.
