I'm looking at it too and doubt is it worth trading short from H4 SZ to H4 DZ? RR is hardly 1. Very interesting point - if you enter H4 TF inside daily zone near or inside weekly zone and according to H4 zone setup, where is the target? Nearest H4 or daily opposite zone? As for me, logical would be daily zone. Could anyone recommend?

{quote} I see. I think that this is more scalping then S&D technique. The latter deals with RR rather then with W/L ratio. Also it always seemed quite strange for me that institutional order flow works with minutes TFs. IOF, imho, operates large volumes, large portions of orders which cannot be fulfilled at a price with 2-3 pips accuracy. And we say "zone" not "level". Very interesting, what is the minimum TF, where S&D works? I noticed that the higher TF the better entries. At least, confirmation entry is impossible at low TF. And noise is too...

Hello Yunvic

Supply and Demand is a strategy that works on all time frames. It is really not a "technique" but more of a strategy that has tactics and techniques within it.
I traded using volume charts when trading futures. I traded using tick charts even, all using the S.A.D methodology.
S.A.D is a strategy that is applicable to all timeframes, it is just a matter of choosing the sequence that suits your purpose.

The thing is that every one of those sequences or styles, have a different mindset that goes with it. If you try to trade a sequence with the mindset better suited to a lower or higher sequence that is where the frustration often sets in.
For example, taking an entry on a daily chart and then checking the chart every 15mins or entering on a 15min chart and checking the chart every hour....

i hope that helps

@Yunvic and @vickybha: Yes multiples of R were available on that move. Why have I been going for 1:1 during the earlier sessions? Simple answer is volatility. That smooth move was in NY PM after the hustle and bustle had settled down. Earlier volatility was higher. A good example is today's London open: both zones have held but looks at the volatility - my stomach can't take it. Vertical line is Franfurt open: {image} If yours can or you can walk away from the chart you could have still made good R:R. Personal preference I think. I like to take...

Hello arielkorber

No need to apologise.
The thread does not restrict posts of smaller timeframes at all.
Please feel free to share.
I take trades on smaller timeframes too and so do the guys as well.
Thank you for sharing

hello,Akt and fellow traders I have a queries if a zone (dz or sz) is not tradable, the inherited zone is or not tradable ? thank you in advance !

Hello Autokon
Very difficult to answer this in isolation
I would urge you to consider a zone on its own merit having done a multiple time frame analysis rather than inheritance or otherwise.

Hello Michael and ArielKorber - Just a quick post to thank you for taking the the time to help me make sense of RBRs and how they are likely formed.
AKT, I watched through the video you made a couple of times, and Ariel, I read and re-read your post. I didn't have the "A-HA!" moment I predicted was in my future, it was more of a, "hmmm...Okay... this is starting to make more sense now..." but still very gratifying! (Although Michael, discovering that the older zones we trade are not in actuality comprised of orders left sitting at a price until filled, was like finding out the Tooth Fairy is not real!)

[I did receive one other reply - although I can't seem to locate it in the thread now, so I apologize for not thanking you in person]

Best wishes for a good trading week ahead y'all

Gary.

Hello AKT,
Good day.

I need your advice for below 2 charts.
I like to know whether the DZ/SZ would not be created (been highlighted inside the chart) as a zone rather than buying/selling power?

Please advise.
Thank you.

Hi AKT,
Many thanks for your video guide always.

As your video mentioned about CHFJPY chart SZ as the picture below.
I would like to ask, whether CHFJPY SZ should be created by very left hand-side on charts instead of the upper from current price?
Due to there is (upper from current price) yet to broke instead of staying exactly well on SZ zone of very left hand-side on charts.

Please advise.
Thank you so much.

Hello AndyNg

the removal of an opposing zone is a filter that S.A.D traders can and do apply to the zones to help them in their process of identifying the best quality zones.
In the first chart there are some buyers at the 3 levels you identified but the question is the quality of those zones in the overall context.
Same for the second chart, there are sellers at that level but are they enough to warrant a trade using that zone?

best wishes

Hello Isaac,

We were stopped out, but it was news related! Anyway it was a good trade, I just saw that Akt also identified this zone in the last video.
I would be carefull trying to short it again, the pair is making higher highs and lower lows...but on the weekly this SZ is still holding on

Hello,

Going through the charts to see what's happening in the markets I found this trade, even if it's a little late to step in.

A trade possibility on the EUR GBP (thx Atk for mentioning it :-))
But the trade seems difficult, given the size of last week upmove, maybe it would be better to wait for a bigger red candle to form

Another opportunity, similar to the EUR JPY, a short possibility on AUD JPY

Hello minosd

If i may, the decision matrix did not allow a short on the 8hr chart because it was too aggressive
Please note, aggressive does not mean "bad". It just means that, "aggressive" and so such trades should be managed as such.
Please see the chart.

best wishes

Hello AKT, I recently found your youtube channel and this thread. I've been watching your videos but cant find one where you explain what are the rules of how you find the S/D zones, you talk about trend lines, you make categories of the zones but dont get how you find them. And what are the orange candles on your charts, does that helps you to find the S/D zones?

thanks.
