That daily TF swing long has played out nicely.

I will look for divergence again & lower TF signals for a swing short if it touches the upper BB. It may of course continue long to reach the W1 upper BB.

New guy here just starting out with Aliens Exraterrestrial System. Why didn't I found this thread long ago. I have to say it's one of the best trading system I've found here on FF. I think this suites my style of trading. I can't trade with naked charts only. I'm comfortable trading with indicators. They help me make sense of what PA is doing. I still have a long way to go before being able to post my charts. I will first spend time studying and reading from the beginning. I hope nobody minds me asking this even if I'm just starting out. I can't seem to make the ADX dashboard work. Anyone knows what I should do to make it work? Thanks in advance for answers and help.

No, we just enjoy spending our profits

The system requires much practice to master, except for those who were experienced traders before coming to it. You cannot therefore say the system has an edge or not - it is the trader who has to get skilful enough to develop an edge, and this system enables that.

See - in order to succeed in the market, you have to have something the next guy does not. Some unfair advantage. IF the system you are working with, the method you trade, has no provable edge over the market, you are basically gambling your funds away. Ive been personally very dedicated to the Aliens system and I tried out everything over the course of 1 year. One year of backtesting and forward testing. The time put into the process of just even trying to backtest this thing was insane and yet the results were similar to everything that has been posted on this forum. This system HAS NO provable edge. Can it work on 10 trades? Yes, can it work on 50 trades? Its possible, but can it work over a long period of time with a sustained profit? Absolutely not.

I kindly ask the traders who "enjoy their profits" due to this system to kindly attach the valid proof why they think the Aliens system would give them something that the 95-99,96 % of the traders do not simply have at their disposal. The FX game is known as the Wild West of investing. There is manipulation on every corner ranging from the central banks pulling the plug all of a sudden to a 4 PM fix scandal which uncovered how the retail players are getting lured and butchered by the institutional traders and yet no one really cares. In one of the transcripts, one banker called the retail traders "bookies".

Forgive me for my pessimistic view of this thread, but it is just all fairy tales for anybody serious.

Like in ANY system and i mean ANY for real,there's no real edge because the market is dynamic,it's not always the same pattern,flow,movement or whatever you wanna call it.
Every system depends on price action,if PA is at the moment lying to you (like fake outs) so the system will tell you the exact thing.
It's only your analysis and experience that will put you ahead of the game.
Even if all traders only traded naked pure charts,the statistics won't change much because the problem is not in the market,is at people's mind that are greedy and don't have patience.
If this was easy,everybody would do it and be millionaire.
I'm doing just fine because i trade daily/weekly charts,thus my SL is bigger and don't get hit so often.
Lower time frames kill newbies and greedy people,the real picture of the market is when you zoom out to daily>monthly charts.
Work smarter,not harder

A system without an edge is no good. You might as well be calling the shots based on pure PA as you said. If the system has no edge, its just useless. Its there to deceive you in a way since you have no real understanding whats behind the PA itself. The long term approach which you utilize would fall more in the bracket of investing and not trading(daily/weekly).

And the most well known system which has a true edge(and even a newbie would be able to build up on it) is simply called: Information.

Being informed in this game is the key which retail players simply do NOT have. Thats why thinking that any group of technical indicators will make you rich is a harmful thought.

As you said, the market prices depend on the new inputs which then are getting projected onto our charts.
Your analysis and experience will not put you in front of everybody if you do not know whats about to happen or who is behind the recently caused PA. In 2014 even the best of the best FX retail veterans got sent to the FX hell.

So to challenge your statement: No, the downfall of retail traders is not impatience and greed. The institutions thrive on greed and power. The true downfall of retail traders is the tremendous lack of information and ignorance of this fact.
