Another update? Sorry, but I can't help myself. Here are my results for the week using fb v63-ts.

Total pips closed - 439
Total open - 125 - all are negative, one open sell order at -96 from 9/12, opened just before the chf went wild high

Success rate - 71.5% orders closed at the moment, but 3 of the 4 open trades could close early next week

Balance increase - +13.74% total - +9.25% if I closed all open orders.

Let's see what next week will bring, we have some big news events coming up. I tried this week to turn this beast off during news releases and turn it back on after the dust settles, such as today. FB closed 4 orders today for 99 pips after the news with only 1 order open. Not bad at all.

Here is my update for the last 5 weeks with a real account.
125 trades, 124 wins with my first loss [Swissy]. Trading with 63G on Mono's setting except for the TS set on 20 now. My pairs are still the same [see earlier post]. Graph enc. showing the account from $5 K to over $6k in that time. BTW; If my S/L was 315 [instead of 300] I would have been OK in this trade. 5 mins after beeing stopped out, the market turned back down.... But that's trading!!

I have tried out the original FB 63G. With Mono's basic settings.
USD/CAD, USD/CHF, EUR/USD, GBP/USD. I used .02 lots per 100 in the account. I increased the lots on the best pairs, then on all others, until they were the same then increased agin like that as $ allowed.

I have posted my results below. I have also included my settings and a template. I really got the EA to the settings I liked after the 19th trade. I also made one trade on the account by accident. I do not know if my results are typical. I took a $500 USD Demo up to $1650 in a month. I only had one real FB loss. The others were from my tweaking or tests early on.

I did not really have a bad week in the last month. I hope this helps. I am using IBFX and this account expires in a day or two, so I am posting now while I can get a good report.

Labrat407,

Please tell me what was your chart timefrime (M1 or M5). If M5 i can imagine those results are typical...

Thanks,

Well done,

The swissy is the safest and most profitable pair with firebird, my live account is growing by about 10% per week trading just that pair.

PS; I have 2 live accounts using Firebird [spreading it around!!] and I find 63G T/S the best at the moment and my O/T are very small [at present].

But this week on a DEMO I used the 'fixed' version of 63H03. From Wednesday until Friday inc, the results are pretty good including trading with Cable and its derivaties.

About $4K nett with one contract [not mini] with 32 wins and no loss...

Firebird 63H03?
I follow this and the original firebird thread and haven's seen H03

Where can I find it blewmoon and what setting do you use?

This week looks great for FB( unlike last week )
No matter what settings you use, FB looks like a winner this week.
But I won't trust my hard earned $$$ to it anymore after it burned me that bad last week.

stay away from cable humax and you should be ok. that's what killed me last week. I used eur/usd, usd/chf, and usd/cad this week and had no problems.

A little different than I have. Thanks. I have been using a 5 min chart this week. Seems to filter some noise. I noticed you lowered the tp from 50 to 28. Any reason for that?

coolhand,

Now I can't think why I reduced it. Was it because Mono suggested a 30p target and I had seen the market 'struggling' around that level in obsevations? Who knows why a trader does these things [with out clear testing]....

Gia and Mr T.,

I am using the M1 timeframe. I have included my settings and a template file. You will need the original FB63G.

Wow Mono.

Wonder what I've done wrong. The last two weeks I've lost 12% of my live account mostly on the USDCHF! And you've gained 10%. Hmmmm. Even more to puzzle over.

My tests this week on FB were break even for the most part on 63g/63g-TS, up a couple hundred pips net for the week with all trades closed out on friday. The bigest looser for me was the H test with -600 pips. I was on 5m charts on the EurUsd/UsdCad/UsdChf.

Crazy stuff. And you'll be happy to know that on my 63g 30-300-30 backtest w/Alpari 1m data from Fall of 2004 to present we'd only be down 3k in your original 10k account...haha. At least we could still trade another day ; )

What to do, what to do.

this is unfair, i were testing v1.0a v1.0c, had several loss the week after NFP.

so, 63g-ts version is the best after all ?

~Just a suggestion,

could we make firebird increase it's lot size every 4 open trades?

the most latter opened position would be the most possibles winning trades, right?

anyone can make such version of firebird?

Life goes on
Chad

Hello, I am using the demo, the firebird and will be live trading it in a month.

I setup the demo account at $250, as I will go live with that amount too...

Now, the question is: Is there a way to limit the number of open trades, or there is no need to do that?... As I saw in a previous demo, it always generates signals. Is there a need and way to limit the open signals, or let it open as many trades as it can?..

What is the most beneficial and efficient limit?...

I mean a money management (%) only for version 1.0a, not c or 0.63....

Thank you,

E Gw

Going over my statements of the last couple weeks using the 5m charts it appears there were no major bloopers/hiccups during any of the big moves. I am wondering (since i had no 1m tests open), if ppl in general are seeing a benefit (TraderOne thanks for your input and testing on the 5m charts!) to the slightly larger time frames? Wakena? Mono? anyone else have a feeling for them yet other than what has been contributed already?

: ) Thom
