You can wait and put trade manualy.
if you use limit order, don't put stop loss on trade

I hope no one believed all the "experts" that were saying to short oil below 45$ for a ride below 40$ thats nonsense from every point of view. The only reasonable way I see for someone to short oil with intention to break below 40$ is to put a long term short positions in the 48-50$ range and wait for months for that to eventually happen. As for me currently I am either waiting for a correction to 45$ for a long or if price reaches 48$ I will short.
I on other hand was just the opposite - too slow and missed the opportunity, I was waiting for price to reach 48$, so I had a waiting order to sell at 47.90 which was too much as we see now because I wanted to catch this correction that is happening right now... Well next time

My stops are 10 or so cents, if my idea is incorrect I am stopped out. Cutting losses... However my tp is usually several dollars.

I reviewed my calculation of the resistance yesterday, there is another possible one just above the current maximum imo. So I think this could be a double top pattern with the second top a few cents above the previous one.

In which case what you need is a falling sell, or a rising buy, depending upon which way you think market is going to move. This approach will stop you having to guess where the S/R point resides.

If you believe the market is about to go down you put a trailing falling sell order, this way you can place a tight stop after the market has started to move in your preferred direction. Not all platforms provide rising buy or falling sell capability.

Sure, Price can go up to 55 and i know that..
that's why i make averaging by put some sell limit @50 and above that price..

can you explain what just happened with oil wti? I did not notiuce special news, but it executed my SL and suddenly went up. I set wrong stop loss that means.

I was actually thinking along the same lines but slightly more optimistic about how low price could go. I view that with the current supply glut, prices could break the 42 support and actually gun for 30
