Got on long EURUSD at 1.2683 with 10 pip stop. Got stopped out. Man I suck at this!

Staddle and lost -10 !

Then faded the news ... as u see in the chart price couldn't break 61.8% went short from their, and exit at 38.2%.... 20pip * 20lot

Im not a technical trader but I suspect that a 10 pip stop loss is too little. This is a volatile market at the mo at we could see it range 20-30 pips quiet easily.

North finance froze again. Just as it happened the last time. Funny how they waited for the news to come out. I want to bealive that this is really a server problem but they're really making it hard. Hope they will work this out soon. It seems like I'm wasting my time testing them.

If their servers are that bad, they should warn people and maybe even don't let anyone place orders during times when they know their servers can't take it.

But then again, that kind of actions would probably kill their business. A brokerage that can't provide a decent server is really disturbing.

Still a weird situation. BurgerKing how did u do with NF?

I got out with +21, and then got back in long GBP/USD. If I'm not stopped out, I'll hold on to my position till next week, as I'm expecting the pound to move higher.

That explains the move couple of hours before the news...It's priced in...

the move earlier was bullish for the dollar. So the pound should'nt have a problem moving back up to the 8900 level. Gah...I don't know.

Hmmm. they seem nice. I wonder if they really mean it. Has anyone got their money back from NF after an event like today?

I just started demoing NF this month. Have they always been this bad with the servers? I see a lot of gaps on my charts recently...

Mistakes Happen

Mistake #1 Too early: I have a Straddle with NorthFinance. Knowing that NF is very slow accepting Entry Orders, I executed my Straddle Script 5 full minutes ahead! Long 1.8818, Short 1.8802.

Mistake#2 Not Watching: I was not watching and at 8:28, price ticked up to 1.8815; add 5 pips spread and I was entered!

Not Mistake I did my research : At first I told myself CRAP!!!! No! Then I realized, HEY its a LONG! so I regain composure and calmed down a bit.

Gut Play - not recommended : At this time, I said to myself, I want this position and protected it by adding more STOPS - instead of 1.8808, I set it to 1.8804, (guys, this was a gut move - not recommended).

After the news, NF crashed AGAIN. Over at IBFX, it whipsawed down to 1.8804... But over at FXCM, it went down to 1.8807 only and started to climb up to hit my TP of 1.8838. 20 pips !

At IBFX, I know my orders cant make any win. I had a LONG at 1.8827 (as I entered this seconds before the news..) with STOP at 1.8817... clearly it stopped. IBFX did not need to stop hunt by falsely adding bear candles at 8:31 and 8:32.

Fortunately, Im net 10 pips win.


Buttom Line: Research. It adds confidence to your trade!

Lol I'd go mental if my broker started doing that to me. Irregardless of the reason. Once is ok, genuine mistake/accident but twice/three whatever? Where's my lawyer?!!!

The next hour is gonna be one helluva ride. Bwahahahahaha

Cable had hit it's first wave target at 1.8880, had overshot a little (it likes to do that) and then gave a second test of that level today and failed for 80 pips worth.
First pic shows that there was a fib confluence/pivot there as well...

Second pic shows how the current channel contained the move down, price had the channel bottom, 38.2% and the vegas tunnel to help it

So now the battle is on again of 1.8800 (1.8775 being former bear/bull toggle) versus 1.8880-1.8920. Winner either gets 1.8600 and lower or 1.9+


Edit: almost forgot to mention, EJ broke free of it's shackles and is now under 149....could make a run for 148.30 and lower, did anyone notice that?

Who didn't follow the news?

Now this is a great friday morning.

Futures reacted great too.

Capital Utilization comes out at 9:15 AM EDT but I don't see any news on it so I can't trade it. Looks like it will come in at 82.5%.

Yes, my account was re-imbursed recently, but that's not the issue. The issue is to ensure connectivity - provide the service you advertise. I'm quite comfortable taking a loss, no problem, but don't cut off my fingers!
