The idea of loosing real money in forex trading can lead to frustration and in some cases, anger aimed at oneself or at the market. How about you? Do you find Forex stressful?

Forex isn't stressful for me. If it's stressful to someone, it's most probably cause they set unrealistic expectations.

If you are just sitting at home playing on demo, no. If you are dealing with other people's money, or having your performance measured, it's definitely stressful for a long time. Eventually you will become more sure that if you take a break and come back, you can get your performance back on track though.

It's a stressful business by nature, no doubt about it.

Losses are temporary .........winners will follow if you know what you do .
If your MM is sound then your stress are also controlled.

A couple of "controlled" losses on a strong "trading edge" is part of the game. Train your mind...... It is just a business.

Thank you very much for all your replies.. Yes it will be stressful if you do not have knowledge about the business and yes if you are loosing money of your own. Forex trading business can be stress free if you plan your trades and be profitable

Whether its stressful or not depends 90% on other elements in your life, not necessarily on the game itself. There is a reason why topnotch hedgefunds are aiming to have their employees at top mental health with meditations and the like.

In my opinion it comes down to how you perceive yourself within your direct environment. Personally financial freedom to me is everything, i just refuse to be a simple shackle in this corrupt system. Life is worth more than that. This statement alone sets my expectations, the returns i will make, but also the amount of stress involved. RISK:REWARD is something you not only find within forex, but basically in everything you will do in your life.

For me it can be quite stressful. Everytime I open order, the sight of the price movement up and down scares me. For I did not know whether I would reach my daily pip harvest each time I enter the market. Fear of loss, Fear of the unknown, Fear of reversal - those factor could cause my emotion control my thinking but I had to be focus, delay my emotion, choosing my own thought rather than a knee jerk reaction. Everyday is a struggle until I reach where I want.

I, personally, find it quite stressful. That said, I think that my levels of stressed have gone down as I gained more experience. But that's my subjective experience, it's different for different people.

I am not so sure about that. Some professionals find it exciting and they find it exciting because it is stressful.

I can’t avoid this issue, yes sometimes I feel really bad when I face consistent SLs in my trading! But good news is, from last nine months I have been making regular money from this challenging profession! Besides, when I can make consistent TPs in a row, then I feel joy!
