Hello,

Anybody else having problems with their MT4 server not changing to a new daily candle? I am using strategybuilderfx and I get a new candle at 5pm est. Yes, this is even after the daylight adjustment.

I tried selecting and deselecting with the same result. No new daily candle, or any new candle for that matter.

Smjones and others. I tried two other servers that switch candles at 6pm est and they are working fine. I guess the problem is with SBFX.

Are you on Demo? Has the demo expired? Check the bottom right corner and make sure it doesn't say "No Connection" or "Invalid account". If so you just need to start a new demo again.

Yes, I have a connection and it is my understanding that SBFX does not expire. I wish someone would log in into SBFX and see if they experience the same problem.

My SBFX is working fine.
What has happened a couple of times is that it has just stopped and I have re installed and then all works fine. It doesn't take long.

No it wont overwrite your current setup. I just tried this and it didn't work though. (meaning it is stil not updating - proable a feed prob - my feed is comning from forex.com -perhaps the working ones are coming from another feed). This is only for DEMO BTW.
What I did was download the ver from Alpari. I installed it and then moved a copy of my Template, Profile and indicators into it and now I have a duplicate of my setup.
If you decide to do something similar. Copy the contentc of the above folders and then paste them into the equivelent Alapri (or whatever borker u choose) folders but DO NOT overwrite any exisiting files.(Answer no to the Overwrite exisinting windoze prompt) I made that mistake and broke Alpari.
Alls good now though and it is updating on Alpari just fine and I have all myh current profiles, templates etc.

Hi 4rex,
I have also had the same problem as Mr Green in that reinstalling will not always help.
What you will find that it will work again but maybe not until next week. This is sooo frustrating.
I also run mt4 on Alpari and even tho there is a time difference ( their servers run differently) it does not bother my trading too much. I have the same templates and indi's on each. It now becomes routine to download and set up templates twice.

It doesn't happen often that they go down and I have never had both go down at the same time.......I am touching wood.

LOL. The first time it happend to me was the last time it affected my trading!

I have my Accucharts always at the ready as well as a couple of MT4 accounts.
