should i open an account at fxcm or fxdd or somewhere else

i like to use metaquotes trading minis. which place crash less, tigher spread, better sweep rates, lower commission, better connection..etc.

i found fxcm and fxdd, anyone recommend any other place?

I use FXDD...never had a problem and they allow me to scalp. Great tech support, customer support and accounting Dept. Online support is also good. Check them out!

fxcm can be good or bad. They are a good starting point. But generally u'll graduate to other brokers. Alas, i havent found a good broker yet, just brokers who are good for a while, then become poor.

Thanks for the message.

I contacted FXDD and they have met the Net Capital Requirements for Forex Dealer Members. I was starting to sweat that out the past couple of weeks.

What do you mean they met the net cap requirements? They are not regulated yet so there is no requirement to be met...

I contacted them by phone and they stated that they were. Hum... strangely, you would think that they would have posted this on their web site as others do. Maybe I need to chat with someone higher up on the foodchain at FXDD.

If you decide to go with FXDD, you should op[en before August 8th.

Between July 27th and August 8th, all deposits at FXDD with receive an 8% bonus on deposit.

If you deposit 25K, you're going to see $27K in your account -- not bad, right?

This is really generous. And dare I say.....sounds desperate? "Pending NFA Approval" and giving away 8% returns.

Now if only they were based out of some cool place like Beirut, we'd be talkin'!

They are doing the promo now because once (or if) the NFA accepts their membership, they won't be allowed to do such promotions again, at least in the USA. They will have to start an offshore arm for that

Not even close to true. Look at FX Solutions who actually started running an olympic promotion about a week before FXDD. Thats the amazing part; that FXDD can't find a way to promote themselves so they have to steal some other companies idea.

thanks for the response. so far, from reading responses, i am getting a sense that FX Solutions is pretty good?

i am not sure how serious is this approval process for FXDD, but it does seems FXCM is better than FXDD...am I right about this?

how does FX solution in comparison with FXCM?

This also from their page. Good offer, but not for "low volume" traders:

"The bonus credit to the account is effective when the new deposit is credited and is subject to the client completing at least 150 full lot closed trades on or before the close of business (4 p.m. EDT) on Friday, October 31, 2008............

.......... FXDD, in its sole discretion, will determine if a client's deposit and trading activity entitles it to retain the bonus credit."

At least they don't try to hide it on the last page in the fine print.
