Hey,

They say that pro traders spend their weekends analyzing the past week's trades. How about we post our best and, if courageous enough, worst trade. This is primarily not for bragging but for learning from each other. Trades can be from this week but from all time ever it okay too.

Post things like when entered, when got out, why entered, what made you get out and any other relevant information.

Let's keep it nice and reasonable.
Buy low, sell high.

I'll start.

GJ, over 50 pips.

Thursday, when the pound was getting heavy, noticed that during Tokyo and London sessions, the advances were made after collecting stops behind the previous big bar. Set a stop order behind London advance and got picked up. Rode up nicely for 50+ pips.

Worst trade: tried to do the same on Friday, and got busted. Oh well, next time.

I entered because I expected price to be higher. I got out when price was high, but at the same time not high enough, and I didn't want to waste my time. I got out because I'm not letting a winner turn into a loser.

I don't really have a worst trade this week. I protect myself at all times, so they're all the same entry/exit wise. It's just a matter of what opportunity there is. And this week for cable, on two of the hot days they decided not to pay traders unless they did overtime. So I knew the intention and didn't even show up to work for the remainder.
It's not cool to clock in for all the zebras to not show up, you know?
5 minutes of my time matters, 1 hour matters. You don't show up and I'm not doing business with you.

Hi,

Had a sell order at the previous day high. Worked beautifully on the sudden pound move. Thought it would reverse at the next extreme; it did not.

Both published trades were done on a naked chart. I do use daily highs and lows.

What about you?
