It was a good one. But the system is not perfect and if you go against the trend it will fail even more
Hi Guys

Just checking in, I don't seem to have taken a EURUSD trade on this on my demo for a long time, everything looks OK on the EA, I saw a buy signal, but no corresponding trade (I know it may be my demo account / broker)

Can anyone confirm the last trade that as taken on this EA for EURUSD please?

Was just testing this again and think these might be better for trigger setting (I was just testing the default setting before) Not so good at the start of the year for EU on this. Is the EA expired. Try to reload it and see or ask Paul

Everything is setup and running ok as per his template

I've enabled debugging to see if it's doing something I'm not seeing

In my humble opinion this method doesn't work that well as an EA, trading it manually is the way forward and, i have to say, without stops!

I would start with checking the entry parameters between the indicator and the EA - they have to be exactly the same.

That said, there is a 'bug' in the indicator which causes it to repaint, whereas the EA doesn't, so it's possible for the EA to enter a trade without there being anything on the indicator, and vice versa.

As rover99x has said, I don't think this strategy is suited to an EA.

I do though think this method is a reasonable scalping strategy and works a surprisingly number of times! You have to work quickly though if you're trading it on a few pairs...
A method of entering several pairs at once on one click would be useful

I like this strategy... (but haven't tried it yet)
Has anyone tried this method in combination with a MEME strategy from "Trading Made Simple". That could solve a lot of problems for those rare cases where the price is not going in the preferred direction. It would act as a middle between using no stop-loss and a stop-loss.

If you're not familiar with the MEME strategy, just reply here. I am happy to explain the ins and outs. Maybe we can get some life back in this thread.

i am still forward testing it. At some times it has a massive draw down. Most of the times the scalping works (very first hour after going in the market for eurusd)
But at some time it massivly fails... I thought about maybe the EA can be changed only to trade one candle after going in... and than going out of the market?

Hi PaulDV! Can this trend filter be added to the indicator? What do you think of using this for binary options? It doesn't look very accurate when I simply add the indicator to a chart on the 15-minute timeframe. What can be done to get it as accurate as in your photo? Thanks very much!
hello all!if you please can add a function according to which after touching sl, to open in its place automatically another trade in the opposite direction and double the lotsize?
for exemple -10 pips in sell trade, hit sl , close trade, and open automaatically a buy position for 5 pips tp with double lot size.

I tested this strategy on US30, and it's showing some good results. DOW is highly volatile, so I decided to test it on a 5M chart, and it's giving a few entries per hour, 5-20pips per trade.

One thing that I've noticed is that the second candle is not always significantly bigger than the first. + there are other patterns that I started recognizing because of this strategy which is nicely adding to the number of pips.

I know you said this doesn't work best in an EA, but i was actually using this well on EURUSD, could you remove / amend the expiry on this EA as well please?
