DislikedWhat do you think about having SL and TP as a fixed ratio based on ATR range for the pairs we trade?Ignored
DislikedPaulDV would it be possible to make an EA with HF trading with 50% less trades or something? Under 10k it's unrealistic to run this EA. So maybe instead of 3 seconds fixed you could add an option that we could chose on how often the EA adds orders? So we could test it out to find something worth running and reliable. EDIT: Best solution would be to make it optional times between what time it should trade. So we can avoid high spreads after market close and start of tokyo session. And we can have it turned on only during London session when spreads...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yeah, the HF mode is a little erratic and unpredictable, and I've noticed large numbers of trades having the exact same entries, which I personally don't like. I have been thinking about maybe making it grid trade so that it takes advantage of the currency pair's fluctuation (like it does now, but in a more controlled way), with maybe, say, a 1 pip minimum gap. This would reduce the number of trades - and therefore hit the profitability - but would also cut down on the margin requirements. My new EA already contains a time filter, but I...Ignored

DislikedI've just spotted a mistake in my code for rule #4 (the close and open ratios of candles 2 and 1), so will post an update to correct that shortly. Unfortunately, that means I'll have to go back and re-run a bunch of tests to see how much it has affected the signals. However, one thing I have been looking at to limit losses and to protect accounts from being blown up is to make sure that all trades are closed at the end of every day (say 11pm broker time). This would stop holding trades overnight (thus reducing swap fees) and would also protect...Ignored

My new EA already contains a time filter, but I have it set to 24 hours because it trades so infrequently, and I've not seen many setups trigger in the dead zone.Ignored
