Discipline for Success or More?

I've been experimenting with the forex market for slightly over 3 years now on and off. Most people say that the key to success is to find a solid trading system and to use discipline and stick to it and not to let emotions get in the way. So my question is this: Can you truly succeed on the forex market simply by continuously following a trading system to the dot or do you need other factors to succeed? I voted no. I have a trading plan and I follow it to the dot but I also know tht market conditions do change and at some point I may have to adjust my plan accordingly

This is actually how I currently feel about it as well, it seems that a solid trading system will work for the most part, but because of the drastic changes that can possibly happen in market conditions, a trading system can easily fail and go against you as well.
