Is there a Metatrader script that converts trades into native currency? I found one in Hungarian but I cannot make it work. The errors I get are "Access to file failed with error (0)" and "Access to file failed with error (5004)."
This is how it suppose to work. You download the daily exchange rates from your bank in .csv file format - in my case the Bank of Canada. Then, upload it into your Metatrader (script folder, the same folder you placed your converter script into). In Mt4 click on Account History/Right Click Custom Period/Set the Period that's on the csv file. Then, in Toolbar section press View/Navigator/Scripts/Right click on the script/execute on chart/arfolyam_file and type in the Bank of Canada file name in the "value" section. Press OK. The script suppose to convert your annual trades into Bank of Canada's exchange rates. However, the script does not work in my Mt4. Somebody could fix it up. With this or similar scripts you can prepare your taxes in a blink of an eye.

1) In this script all dots in the .csv file have to be converted into semicolons. You can do this in Excel with Find and Select and then Replace.
2) If in the script the "symbol section" is empty then all symbols will be converted.
3) The converted file, hyst.xls will be in the MQL4/Files folder.
4) The alerts will let you know, for example that on Christmas (holiday) you have no data. Instead, it used another data. You have to fix the error manually, which is not a big deal.
