As you can tell from my signature it is a part of the way I think of the markets, the possibilities really are endless, so I couldn't list them here. I do however run a forum on this topic at

http://www.beginnertrader.com/forum2

... but I would be interested if others here have anything to share on this topic.
You can quit and they won't care, but you will always know.

I've been thinking about normal human daily life cycle. in ordinary day Asian people woke up around GMT+9 - GMT+7. They saw last night news, price action, etc, and then make decision on when to enter market. Then European start at around GMT+2 - GMT. They do the same as Asian. By now amount of opinion made into the market has exceeded 60% of world trader population. After 1 or 2 hour from market open, usually (not always) price has went to the direction that majority choose. then enter at breakout high/low between asia - europe market open. count average daily range for that pair. set sl and tp according to it. entry time may vary at winter/summer :

I use a Ouija board. I've lost over $20,000 now, but it tells me that if I keep replenishing my account I'll be a millionaire if the moon lines up with Mars and I let gypsy fourtune tellers clean my money first. The only problem is that they usually run off with it...

Yup, they are serious. Akuma's forum on the topic in #2 post is worth the visit. I'm not into Astrology, but the info on Gann and similar are facinating studies.

I'm also very serious about trading.

So when someone can show me a newspaper headline that in effect reads:

"Psychic Wins Lottery"

then I will stop looking at MT4 charts and buy a Ouija board. In the meantime, I'll stick with TA.

Oh by the way..............why is it that all the pyschic people appear to live below the poverty level?

There is a relationship between the markets and the phases of the moon. Check out the work of Welles Wilder. The moon effects people. As an educator for 30 years, I know that to be so. People make trades.

Lou, have you ever been able to find a pattern for this on Forex charts. I have the book you refer to and do not seem to be able to make the patterns consistently for Forex markets.

If need be, you can PM me if you feel your answer will dilute this thread...

Thanks scott

To all of the nay sayers of this thread I offer to you that your doubtful proclaimations are 3 times as luduacrist as their curiosity of the potential relationship of the universe and the markets.

It is continuously noted throughout history and is, in essence, self evident that all things are known are related. Everything is connected and share the same governing rules. The mathematical correllations are noted time and time again by the greatest minds all of recorded history.

If a few individuals choose view the markets through holistic window it does not make them crack pots. It makes them open to possibility. They are open to greater understanding.

Well, that is as close to a rant as I can muster

nay‧say‧er  /ˈneɪˌseɪhttp://cache.lexico.com/dictionary/g...una/thinsp.pngər/[ney-sey-er]

–noun <TABLE class=luna-Ent><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top>a person who habitually expresses negative or pessimistic views: Despite a general feeling that things were going well, a few naysayers tried to cast gloom.

I would not consider myself as one who fits the definition of the word naysayer, therefore I am confident that FXopportunist is not referring to me in his post. And like FXo, I am open to possibilities, particularly as they may relate to my own small corner of the world. But as a technical trader who watches charts and crunches numbers, it is very difficult for me (and no doubt for those like me) to address with any measure of reality or even "common sense" how the Foreign Exchange Currency Markets can truly be influenced by that which exists in some abstract dimension within our universe.

However, so as not to seem close-minded, bigoted or just plain ignorant, I refer to the words of Don Quixote; "The proof of the pudding is in the eating."

Let's eat!

You've got to be sh*tting me! Is this guy serious about using Numerology or Astrology?

At least traditional technical analysis has some legitimacy to it. Even fibs have a scientific truthfulness to it.

If this guy wants to trade using numerology or astrology though - more power to him. I'll be glad to see him on the opposite side of me on any pair I might be trading. ;-)
