Does anyone know of the EA which can provide a trailing stop for multiple orders, say 5-10 or more? I found a couple of very old ones but they don't seem to work any longer.

Not with this file, I just left the option.
Edit:the EA can reuse the hidden pending order feature.
Normally a script will only run it’s code once then unload itself, while an ea runs continuously

Hi,
Any one knows of an trailing EA, which manages partial/full closure of multiple lots, and incremental steps are not pre-set in pips or points but to a ratio factor applied to ATR reading?

So, if I want to trail, say, 10 trades 20 pips behind the price, what my settings here should be? I don't use other EAs so there is no magic numbers. I don't do break even so I only need trailing of multiple orders. I am thinking I need to change the number in the line Points to Trail Price to 200 then? Thanks.

Youve got it buddy. Input a 0 for any of the trailing settings you don’t want to use. The magic numbers won’t matter, it operates on all open trades for that symbol.

Thanks. Next time I will trade this way I will use it and will let you know how it works. Do you want me to pm you or to post what I find here if there are any problems?

Forgot to ask - Time between Stoploss Scans. I think 1 second is too much for my needs, or I am not sure if it will be overloading the connection, maybe not. Any suggestions? I guess 1 second is for trading the fast moving events, like the news etc.

Also, if I am going to use it as EA, what my answer should be to Script Sticks to Chart?

I want to add your tool to trail the trades following the price but I won't be doing it from the beginning of the trade. I will be adding it after some time when I am happy with the profit and I want to squeeze all the extra pips available until the price stops me. So, I will be adding your tool then only. What would you recommend me to use then, EA or script?

You can pm me. Any time scan setting you want is fine, none of them will harm anything, even 0 second scan. The “script sticks to chart” is a leftover from the script version, preventing the script from unloading itself; setting it to “no” will allow the ea to be called by ticks instead of a constant loop. You can apply the program whenever you want, it will pickup (detect) existing trades or new trades you place once it’s running. I prefer using the script, it seems to work smoother.

Well, I tested few dozens of trailing stops that I found all over the net by now and the only one seems to be working fine is attached to this post if anyone is interested. It moves stops for seemingly unlimited number of orders without any problems. It does something else which is a nice extra - if you just drop an order on the chart without setting any stop at all it will assign a stop equal to the trailing distance to that order.

The only drawback is that it is based on MA, which makes it a bit redundant but if to set the MA period to 1 it pretty much follows the price. Another small inconvenience is that since it is based on MA the user has to apply it to a specific timeframe only and it it won't work on any other timeframes. Having trailing distance in pips would be much more convenient but I can live with it.

Surprisingly it was coded back in 2009 and still works fine while a ton of newer EAs are not working at all or have various bugs making them unreliable or useless...

I am finding it hard to believe that there is no simple and reliable trailing stop EA which would just work anywhere on the net with hundreds of EAs in so many places but I was unable to dig anything reliable out.

I would still ask if someone could please code or maybe use attached code as a base to make a basic trailing stop which would move unlimited number of orders on a singe currency pair following the price by a predetermined number of pips instead of the MA. Then probably it would work on any timeframe, which is desirable?

That's all I really want - literally one input parameter...
