Best way to use EA for multiple timeframes?

Is there any really simple way to use an EA across multiple timeframes? In other words, if I wanted to trigger a buy when %k cross %d on 1H, but only if 4H had also previously crossed.

Not sure if there is some way for Metatrader to compare charts against one another...

As far as I know, you'd have to hard code the times into the EA.
