are you talking about testing this up trend? would this be considered an intermediate trend on the 5 minute chart? and all the little fluctuations in between are minor movements?

On m1... from S to R. Exit at first sign of strong rejection. Correct direction in the Now.
Hey... clearly I knew that I was against the H1. I was managing exactly my test of a Market Down.
Pattern formed: Triple Busted. Bearish. A classic Super Trap (meat grinder)

As you can see from the rest of the move and the price level now... I was right.
Down, Stop Hunt and then up again.

Triple busted... this is the Bullish version.
After an assassin thing like that... I normallly stop trading! not my market.
This is what I mean when I say "You control your position"... but to do that "You must know what are you doing."

Under that pattern's influence... Market goes completely confused. Violent change of direction... while people take new position.
If the move is slow... you could find your way, following.
If the move is fast, as this one was... in 3 pips... you can't turn.
Or are you luckly right or nothing.
I was right, but against a stop hunt.

I noticed that complex h and s as well. When it hit resistance where your first green circle was I followed her down. Just felt like she was heading south. The candle jerks were pretty intense at that level

My "supersimplified answer" is Gann... to me. Following fti teachings.

Studying Elliott fti suggestion is to remain on the Basics.
There's no neeed to go mad counting waves.
Because of Truncations and Extensions nobody can!
10 Elliotticians in one room will give you ten different analysis of the same chart. LOL

Yep and they were slapping my face for my attempt amongst those bulls. LOL
I must admit I played for the blotter and not for the continuation. Grabbed pips and out.

That decline was done and "driven" with killer's intentions.
I have been watching it really shacking my head.
And left that battlefield alone. I admit, somewhat"disappointed".
My fault! I would have received my second reward! Horrible market's logic. Stupid human emotions.

I have just finished to study my charts. Price behaviour confirmed my analysis both on DAX and Eurodollar.
A better intellectual satisfaction doesn't exist.
In my personal view, Retailer Trading is the most sophisticated and noble form of craftsmanship.
This is why it asks for respect and professionalism.

Now I'm going to give you my best advice, after some 8/9 years of humble Markets' frequentation .
The longer you trade, the more likely you are to develop trading habits, some good and some bad.

Bad trading habits are like termites...
If you see one coming out of a hole in the wall, then you have a serious problem.

Why I'm telling you that?
By knowing ahead of time what to expect, you can head off the development of bad habits.

Do your research. Learn by your mistakes.

I like your style. It's a kind of jet pilot. Reminds me that of Fti.

Of course, one could try and adapt to 4-5 pips channeling and make some 3 pips up and down (X duration) within the range (spread deducted). At the very beginning of my lame learning-to-trade I saw a rigid profit potential for such a ripping. I could presume that is bread-and-butter for some traders but not my style neither. To continue, in 99.9% of my lame learning all stops have fatefully been taken right before changing flow in the direction of my lost opportunity.

P.S. I'm still learning-to-trade, BTW

In fact, if I decided to trade DAX again, I would use their platform. Unfortunately, there are no brokers offering the same conditions provided they should have a physical office and be regulated in my homeland (to reach them and check whenever I need). ATM I am trading with banks only.

Since I have not completely abandoned the DAX perspective, I would be eager to know your experience if you try with them (just a brief PM). Thank you.
