DislikedThey brought in a new version of software recently and maybe it has bugs. It already has a memory bug as far as I'm concerned. I really like the platform for trading, but I prefer MT4 for charting. I suggest you frequently restart the program, and even Windows too. I know older versions of Windows seemed to always have this "memory leak" that could be fixed by restarting. You could also try FXCM's Java version.
I found out my problem is the satellite internet connection. I can connect via dialup, no problem. The satellite connection just times...Ignored
DislikedFXCM levergage is way to high!! Their leverage is 100 or 50 with only $1 you can trade. That is a formula for disaster!! Oanda is better because you can adjust your price to less than a dollar and less leverage if you chose. Much easier to trade!!Ignored
DislikedMicro is 400:1 leverage. Standard is 100:1. They can give you lower spreads on Micro because you get NO phone support. If your software crashes and you are in a position, you cannot close or modify it until you get your software working.Ignored
DislikedI have seen several things in this forum that I have had knowledge of, first off, if you have a problem with your micro account you can get phone service. The other had to do with a guy's memory in his pc, I can tell you FXCM Trading Station takes alot of horsepower to run. I would think 4gigs of RAM should be plenty enough to run your trading software though. Trading using sattelite of course is not reccomended, you might try microwave or radiowave isp's if you have them. My brother might be trying 3G for his internet usage at home, perhaps I can...Ignored
