Hi all

Is it possible to look at metatrader charts outside of the main screen. I have two screens and want to move a couple of charts from one to the other but can only do that by dragging the whole metatrader page across both screens which does not really work.

thanks

I love working across multiple screens, and normally had at least one of my old broker platform screens / chart on each of about 4 monitors.

When I decided to "move up" to MetaTrader, I was surprised to see that MT4 did not support Multiple Monitors!

People talk about stretching MT4 across the desktop, which I did not think much of.

There is also talk of some software / addons for MT4 that allow you to "Undock" the individual windows within MT4 and drag them out of MT4 onto another monitor while retaining full functionality.

..that said, the only link I have found for it so far lead to a closed ClickBank account.

If anyone knows more about that type of software for MT4, I am sure others would be interested.

MT5 offers the ability to work across multiple monitors, so perhaps worth considering a demo account to play around with.

...some more comments on undocking screens in MetaTrader....

MT5 has the functionality built in. Just right click on the chart and select “Docked”, or click on the chart and type “Control+D”, it will undock the chart and you can move it outside of the MT5 screen to any other monitor.

When I was playing with MT4, I came across some of the following, but decided to just switch to MT5.
…so none of these are recommendations, just “notes”…

FloatingCharts, BigBroking, GlobalPrime, ForexStrivers
…or search for Undocking MT4 screens,
