If you won't be profitable in a demo account, you won't be in a real one

If you would be profitable in a demo account, you can still lose money due to psycologicly issues.

In my eyes, you must trade in the beginning with a demo account for at least half a year

It's a cliché but trading is 10% skill and 90% psychology.

You can have a great strategy but if your psychology is messed up you would 100% fail.

So yes, trading is hard, very very hard
