{quote} I'm not sure how well that would work TBH. If you are in the EU (or with EU broker) you are gonna have maximum 30:1 leverage due to ESMA rules, and I believe the US is maximum 50:1? So to place 1 microlot you gonna need about 33 euors, dollars, whatever to open the position. And you get a margin call at 50% draw down I think. So even 1 microlot on a $200 account isn't going to give you much room to manouvre - and that's without even thinking about opening more than one position at a time! I always open positions with a 0.5% capital risk...

No offense but who STILL have an account with a european broker?? makes no sense whatsoever! i closed mine and opened a new one in australia: same leverage as usual, and no problems at all.. of course do your research first

i trade for a few months with a 100$ per account, compounded and after 20/30 trades and withdraw the money and start all over again, same cycle; the first set of 10/12 trades was a slow growing but after that it skyrocket very nicely

every single "new" startup account was made from the profits, my main capital its in a different account acting like a "savings" account.. but its all relative to the way you trade/accuracy and how much money you really want to make =)

Yeah I know that, I have an account with IC Markets now for that exact reason. However a lot of people must still have accounts with EU brokers, or there wouldn't be any EU brokers still in business by now. I was just mentioning the point, it's still valid.

I will accept my opinion on how much capital you need to trade successfully doesn't match the majority here it seems. Maybe my past experience of trading on small accounts has not been the same as others.

How much did you skyrocket your 100$ account to and over what period? As I have said earlier I only manage about 5% gain per month at best, and I don't manage to get that every month.

any kind of smart amount always supportive to kick trading in a proper way , but at the end of the day , only knowledge and experience is a deal that can make you alive in spite of having small balance. so, besides trading balance its more appropriate to emphasis on trading knowledge.

Mm yea i guess there its a lot of people that are masochist and still like EU brokers LOL Anyway, i dont think in periods of time but in valid trade setups whatever "time" they take to show, sometimes there its a trade daily for a whole week and the next one its like 1 or 2 at most; i also trade 20/30% per trade with around 1 to 1 return, sometimes a bit more (+ comision/spread of course), thats where i get my highest win rate if i go for a bigger return then the win % suffers and its not worth it. The first 10 or so trades are slow then it skyrocket from there BUT keep in mind that my entry and targets have a huge probability of getting hit, thats why i put so much money on the line =)

What imbalance pattern are you trading to achieve such a high win rate?

Interesting mate. What's your average TP in pips? I assume the SL is the same number of pips if you have a 1:1 Risk Reward ratio?

Yes its the same size in pips PLUS the cost of the trade of course (if you dont include that then its not a true 1:1 return.. VERY important); it depends on the size of the bricks im using at the moment of the trade

Yes; that’s the general calculation on 1:1 risk reward ratio!

Initial deposit amount is almost irrelevant. If you're profitable you will always make money.

You have to relax by trading. If I think I have a psychology problem after trading, how can I trade winning? So you have to trade with a positive mentality all the time.
