Hello everyone
I have spent days trying to get an email alert working with no luck, success or skill.
So if any one can help I'd be very gratefull.

I would like to get an email alert when the RSI goes above or below the bollinger bands applied to it, at the close of the candle.
many thanks

you can use the ibandsonarray function to calculate the bollinger bands on the rsi array used for plotting the line. You can then pull the upper and lower band value from that function and compare it to the value of rsi.

Interesting concept by the way, never though of applying bb to anything other than price.

Clarify it. You will touch the upper or the lower line twice. One on its way up and another on its way down just for the upper line the same with the lower line and sometimes it comes back just immediate in the next candle.. Which ones are you referring to. the going up to touch the upper line or the going down leaving the upper line.. same questions for the lower line..???

Hi Trader101
The idea is to get an alert when the RSI has moved above the Upperband or below the lower band of the bollinger bands but to only send the alert when the candle has closed.
I'm looking at applying this to the 1h chart to identify overbought/sold conditions.
Something like
If rsi < lowerband = buy
if rsi > upperband = sell

It is work in progress...

If you look at your chart and you proposed setup you will have your signals all the candles while the RSI is above the upper band it will be signals every end of the candles(could be several e-mails send to you) while the rsi is in the region above the upper band until it leaves the uppper band. Is this what you have in mind?
