I have browsed and looked into several systems shared in this forum. I have seen some that indicate long and hard work. And the best ones always turn out to be the simple ones, because simplicity is always the key.
But from some replies from new traders, I have seen in some a lack of understanding in what trading and developing a system imply.
I earn my living trading. And took me years in creating a system, discipline and $ managing habits. And this endeavor have shown me tons of economical, emotional and familial wrecks in traders that miss the point about trading and its implications.
For those new in the Arena, here are my 10 Commandments, included in a little course given in the past. I hope they will help to develop some healthy and rewarding habits.
- A trader should be whole, self-sufficient and alone.
- A trader should be humble and realize that a Greater Trader works beyon his ego.
- A trader should study, practice (apply) and learn from his mistakes and his victories; both are given to him or her to grow and become better.
- A trader will have and follow his / her system. Will have Entries, Targets, and protective Stops.
- A trader should not be tempted by outside dellusions. The Trader's Ocean requires Knowledge, Patience, and Faith to become a navigator.
- A trader should protect his physical, mental and spiritual health.
- A trader should respect and love others, and his family and closest ones, the most.
- A trader should love himself / herself as is. The flaws and virtues for Life and trading are unique and precious to each of us.
- A trader becomes that which he believes in as his / her Dream and Cration, and he / she will stand by it.
