Why isn't Firebird EA opening trades?

Hi all,

Firstly want to thank everyone for sharing all this great info!!

I'm brand new to MT4, and am slowly getting my head around things, but can't figure out how to use the EA.

I have loaded it successfully (I think - according to journal) and there is a little smiley on the graph, but nothing is happening. I must admit I'm still learning the system, but it seems from reading everyone's posts on Firebird I should be getting trades. I ran the backtester and it showed several trades.

I'm using Spot Trader, EURUSD and 1M charts
