I have been involved with many EA projects and have come to the comclusion that 90% of them are never ever going to be profitable for one very simple reason that could very easily have been avoided?

The Entry strategy is pathetic!

If you start with bad trades, how on earth are you supposed to make money?

I'd like to find, with the help of the folk on this forum, a really good H1 entry strategy and then continue to develpe an EA.

I have a request please, if you are interested in a different time frame, go start another thread, I'd like this thread limited to H1 strategies, thanks.

You can have a look at my strategy here:

http://www.forexfactory.com/forexfor...ead.php?t=5174

and the documented manual here:

http://www.forexfactory.com/forexfor...ead.php?t=6233

However it may include a little too much discretion for an EA (which I personally think are a waste of time for real long term profitability), but I trade it exclusively of hourly charts.
You can quit and they won't care, but you will always know.

i Have a great 1 hr entry system that needs to be made into an EA.

http://www.forexfactory.com/forexfor...4555#post94555

theres my thread. Its the ewo/cci indacaters.

ewo(elliotte wave oscolater) or also awsome oscolater. both are a 5/34 oscolater. "0" line cross.

and CCI(commodities channel index) set to 55 peroids. "0" line cross.

And you can add a 21 sma cross of the price along with it. Or Daily pivot cross.

3 crossovers. Last cross is the trigger as long as the other 2 remain crossed.

s/l beyond last peak or bottom of last wave. I currently have a euro/usd short posted with this method. You can see the entry, and the s/l. I have manny saved charts with real trades taken on them saved. If you need some examples.
I have been making very nice cash on this method. This is how I was able to start trading full time.

The trade might last few hrs to few days.

if you get a long signal you go long. And leave it in untill it signals short then the trade is simply reversed. Thats the automated way.

Manual way requires waching the market with emotions. So I use the 8 ema and cci for an exit.

I cann't find any one that can make this yet. help!

Dave
