I am not good at developing mobile apps, nor do I have the ability to manage a company or a business.
I only have IT skills.
I have been a worker all my life, and come to trading as a hobby. In trading for about 10+ years. And still learning.
I am currently coming to 40, and still doing skills upgrading at the moment.
I have also seen problems of this world and how we still have poor work life balance and our birth rate have dropped.
Humanity is going to disappear from this Earth in about 100 years, as pointed out by a sociologist.
Are you happy? I am neither happy nor sad. Just numbed..
I am beginning to feel that this world is becoming increasingly mechanized, and you will only get paid if you are doing a job.
And once you are getting older, and if you can't work, you have to rely on your savings. And once your savings are gone, you have to beg for donations.
And donations don't come easy. You have to write a story of your own, and hope someone donates to you.
But we do not have to wait until the future when we are all getting older.

A young gentleman from China wrote in a trading group asking for help to trade investments, in order to donate the surplus away to the poor.
Actually this idea has also been floating in Singapore.
But the problem is, if you trade people's money, they will expect a profit as well. No investor want negative returns. Once you lose, you will lose your reputation and no one will want to invest in you anymore. The community will also see you as a scam, if you lose their money. There are also regulations surrounding financial institutions, societies, and charities. Governments will also check whether there is money flowing out of its borders to money heavens.
This non-profit entity will have to develop trust with society. Forex is a very gray area and you might even lose, or the liquidity providers might see you as a threat to its liquidity. It is also currency warfare, a sensitive term that floats around only with those who are experienced with politics. If you depreciates a currency pair intentionally, or rig the currency, you will find yourself in international court.
So, I am thinking, why not set up a non-profit enterprise first to prove that one is indeed returning donations to help society while on the other hand trade the surplus to grow the donations. Then get the help needed from the trading community to trade this surplus.
We can start doing now actually. But we will need capital, manpower and people with management experience to kickstart this project.
I don't mind helping this young man. Seeing how this world is run, does make me feel that I should start contribute now with my wisdom learnt over the years. I might only have 20 more years left in my life span.
On this thread, you can give your opinion, say you want to help, or spread an idea. It is all fine. Just keep it constructive.
If this idea really kicks off, it may be one enormous project of the century or it may be just like a currency pair that breaks its support and down it goes.
As with any idea, it needs pillars that are concrete enough to hold it. Need good engineers. Just plain saying it is not enough.
Some of you do businesses, and you know you need to check balance sheets, handle manpower and compliance issues.
