I have found a ton of information on how to use magic numbers. However, one thread that I read indicated that if I had a trade that was opened manually I could also use the comment to let my ea control the trade. However, I have not found any info on how I can set this up. Can anyone give me some help in this area. Thanks
You can use "order comment" for the ones you open manually, That's because and only because you can not assign MagicNumber to the manually opened trades.

Hi cbolding,

After using the advice of codersguru, you may want to right click on the Terminal Window while the Trade tab is active. This will bring up a pop-up menu where you can choose to show the Comments in the Terminal/Trade window by clicking Comments. This will give you a visual of the Comment that you wrote while manually placing the order. You need to do this as I believe the Comment header is set to inactive (hidden) by default.
