I trade using the sidus system, but I also have a job. I have not yet gained enough confidence in my trading to make it my full time job, but I am close. One problem that I have is I cannot always be at my computer, does anybody know of any portable electronics that you can use to trade. Maybe a certain blackberry or a quotetrek. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

A lot of brokers now offer mobile solutions to trade on your blackberry, treo or whatever device you are using. Palm OS and Windows CE seem to be the most supported mobile OS.

They are PC but PDA size

You can run your trading software on them anywhere, anytime...

I would recommend you wait a few months. The first wave of ultraportable pcs are just now hitting store shelves and there not that great. Battery life sucks and the pricetags are beyond rediculous. After Christmas the second gen devices should start popping up.

metatrader mobile offers nice charting software. I have kept track of markets using software combined with a wireless PDA. It has payed for itself many times over. Usually I just call the desk when placing orders. But I use the PDA to confirm everything. This has helped me tremendously...when shopping or even at home when sleeping, I frequently wake up at night, and reach over for the PDA to check prices. The light level not enough to wake up anyone else your with.
Price is the only indicator.

I'm looking for a voice conversion package of the data feeds for any given pair.

It must be available. I would like to close my eyes for a little bit at times, instead of looking at the charts. I think a total voice conversion of price data for any pair would help tremendously.

I'm also looking for otherways of communicating price data through sensation. I'm thinking of patenting some devices I have in mind.
Price is the only indicator.

Metatrader Mobile is useless for many traders.
It only uses it's internal indicators.
Many people use custom indicators.
And EAs....?

I have been looking for a mobile solution as well. I carry a Blackberry, but MT Mobile won't work on it. Thinking of moving to the TREO 700W with the Mobile 5.0 OS.

I also am focused on Sidus and its variations and what makes this great is that no custom Indicators are needed. EMAs and RSI.

Will make the move within the next 30 days and as this is a supported device required at my job (as an alternative to Blackberry), my cost is nothing.

Can you tell a liitle how a system/EA (like sidus) is supposed to work.
Does Mobile run EAs?
If not what's the use?

I really don't see why anyone would want to run an EA on a mobile platform. The idea of an EA is that you want it "always on". The idea of a mobile system is that you want it "on and off, anywhere." If I had a really good EA, I'd run it on a VPS hosted server. I'd use my mobile software for dynamic entries and price checks.

MT4 Mobile does not (currently) allow custom indicators or EAs. MT Mobile will let you set up EMAs and RSI and that all you need for Sidus (BAGOVINO variation).

Another option I was using for a while until company firewalls blocked it, was to set up customer indicators and EAs on home PC and have an account with Go To My PC dot Com and log into my home PC to trade. I have talked to these folks and I will try to use this service with the Treo 700W and they tell me it will work. You need a pocket PC device that has a touch screen.

I prefer using Indicators and manual trading over EAs. Not enough confidence in EAs for live trading.

Because EAs can warn you with a signal.
It doesn't even need to be a real trading EA. Just something that alerts you.
That would take less time than some crippled Mobile version.

There is a forex Windows 7 gadget called "Market 24h Clock gadget" showing working hours of major Stock Exchanges in UTC (minutes and seconds are coordinated with your computer time and switch to Daylight Saving Time and revert to standard time of major Stock Exchanges are taken into account).

install teamviewer app for android or ios and connect remotely to your "trading" computer...
i find it absolutely efficent and easy (i'm a professional trader btw...)
