Hi, Just wondering what has happened around 4am et this morning to change everything so radically on most pairs ? Was it just the German news ?

In general I find that 4am et is a very active time, any reason in particular ?

Thanks

I think it may have been a little more than the German news. If you look at the results, the numbers were very close to all the banks expectaions.

Look at the USD/JPY. At the same time the USD spiked down about 10-12 pips. Obviously this pair has nothing to do with EURO news. Perhaps a mega player was dumping $$$s and because it was synched with the news release it caused a little extra push??

Just speculation of course. I don't think it was just the news out of Germany... just doesn't make sense.

Oh, ok, I see. Well, at least it hasn't changed too much the longer term charts' direction, so hopefully everything will go back to prior these sudden spikes.

I am still trying to figure out what it is better to do...trade on long time frames or short. With short you have to babysit too much, with long you can leave them on their own, BUT, you will get panic attacks in the meantime when things like these happen......

Thanks
