Hi, it seems that we all may have encountered a few indicators that were of some use in some situations. I was asked in another thread.

My first suggestion:

programmed by Mladen, without any doubt one of the best mq programmers around, with a great knowledge and insight in trading, statistics, math and programming.

Please Google his name and find many more a delightful indicator. Available on the mq5.com forum, a great resource as well!

Second suggestion, to play around with moving averages, as was requested:

But there is so much! How to know what anyone really needs? It's mind over matter, and your mind dictates your trading and the indicators that may be of use. Of course the mind can change, and that can be done by looking into indicators.

Maybe more important is, whether one wants timed bars or not. Range bars? Rencko bars? Heiken-Ashi? Maybe no bars at all

Please note DZ is just .ex4, so this goes into the MQL\Indicators folder and only shows up after restart of MT. Downloads and works ok with me.

Any contribution is welcome of course!

Check out https://forex-station.com/ for a lot of MLaden's indicators (I believe he is involved with this site). They have an MT4 indicator master pack with about 8000 indicators, so fill your boots. I find some of the indicators have to be re-compiled because of MT4 build issues.

Also check out http://newdigital-world.com/forum.php - these guys (New Digital and Igorad) are also former Forex-TSD admin/developers and have some interesting stuff.

Wonderful, I wish I were a jukebox with all indicators on board

I googled "harmonic scanner" and came up with tons of page that offer all kinds of information. I am not into this kind of indicators and never used them. I wouldn't know how to discriminate "very good" from anything else. Anyone?

Excellent source! Thank you. Igorad and NewDigital are veterans with an enormous contribution over the years, mostly when in ForexTSD, with their elite and special elite and über-elite sections

Of course now we slowly are compiling a list of all possibly useful indicators available, which is great, but it would be nice to offer some special starting points for serious seekers.

Indicator requests and ideas is on this wonderful forum:

Ah classics like Doji, Hammer, Morning star? Ok, much literature about this also, and may lead to very concise methods. One starting point (of many):

but this is about indicators, and I would rather say these are indications

Talking about non repainting indicators, I noticed the pointed out the reason for the repainting in the indicator used in the "SELL ONLY SCALPING 80%+" thread.

I have this indicator that I have since not been able to let go of and I posted it on one of the threads on FF here.....

https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...6#post10586136

Kindly take a look at the code and tell me what lines of code to change.

Thanks.
Let it turn and find your entry.
