How can I calculate the optimal lotSize for 5 trades?
For example: EUR/USD, leverage 500:1, TP/SL 50 pips, free margin 5000 dollar, open price 1.1900.

If I do $ 5000= (lots for 5 trades + 50 pips SL for 5 trades)/5
- 50 SL for 5 trades=50 pips * 10 pipvalue * ? lotsize
result: ?= 50 * 10 * ?

- lots for 5 trades= (5000 - 50 SL for 5 trades)/5
result: ? = 5000-?/5

Then I cannot calculate it. Can anyone help me?

You simply divide the amount of free margin to risk by 5 and apply MM per individual trade as you would normally.

@Nicholishen: thank you. And how do I divide the SL? Can you give an example with the example_data in post #1?

So if my equity/free margin is 5000 dollar, then I divide this by 5? And how do I divide the 5x SL further?

So what is the answer exactly to the question: what is the optimal lotSize in #post 1?
Which formula should I use to calculate this?

Except you are a coder there are many tools out there to help you. With so much yet to understand about the market
I had better concentrate on the application rather than the reason behind it.
Play around the attache and you may have an idea how the increase in sl affect your calculation.
